I listened to Dwight Yoakam’s complete Reprise Record collection driving at work and on the ride home. It’s safe to say he’s one of my favorite artists of all time in any genre. His backing band is incredible.

I’ve done a complete 180 on REM in the past 5 years.

So I’m watching the video and I notice Peter Buck is playing an upside down left handed Fender Jagstang, which was created in honor of Kurt Cobain. The album Monster was originally going to be called Blow Your Face Off or something like that, but the band changed it because it was right after Cobain killed himself.
What I’m getting at is, you suppose the left handed JagStang was a subtle nod?

Maybe it’s a Mustang but Cobain played those. So did Liz Phair hubba, hubba.

A quick wiki search and we can close the case on this one. It is in fact Cobain’s own Jag-Stang, given to Buck by Courtney Love.

Saw Black Crows open for Aerosmith back in the day. They put on a great show.
