Sucks. Just checked the Mastodon concert that's happening right now in my town. Pretty light crowd and the door guys said only 650 tickets sold. That blows. They were here a year or two ago with Gojira and sold out the venue, about 3500 tickets. So this is not good.
I didn't even know about this show until about two weeks ago when I randomly went on the venue's website to see if anyone cool was coming. So maybe it wasn't promoted well. I dunno.
All I do know is most cool bands skip St. Louis these days. It's not like it was in the past when we got the big shows. This isn't going to help. I guess I can count on them not coming here anymore. I'm definitely going back later to see them headline.
