For me, it's cosmology, MTG and classic video games.

As far as MTG, I have this homebrew app on my PSP that is literally the best MTG game I've played other than Magic Online which is dead. Love reading/watching anything about the Universe. Dark energy, time dilation, formation of planets, stars, etc. Classic video games I'm a huge of freak about. I play everything from PS2 and before. NES and Gameboy are my go to's because the games are generally short and easy to pick up. Yeah, I know. Quite the spread of interests but that's what I like.

How bout you guys?

Hi Dave!

Probably jet fighters and fireworks.

lol I just mean I love Tron - the old video games, movie series, etc. Even had one great season of an animated show.

Not to mention an outstanding sountrack.
Got it. There are decks in MTG called monster Tron decks. So I didn't know if you were talking about that or the movie, games, etc. I never heard that there was an animated show for it. When did it come out?

How far to you go with Star Trek? I stopped watching after DS9. I watched some of the one after with a woman captain but I couldn't get into.
My favorite is Enterprise. It's kinda low budget lol but it's probably the one that most captured the spirit of the show. And I like that things are cramped and break all the time the way it would likely be on our first outings, like a military vessel.
The Vulcan are complete dicks.

Discovery had a few glimpses of cool but quickly went to total shit, Picard is worse.
Strange new worlds is good with a couple stupid episodes.

I even like the old cartoons, probably just nostalgia.

I like building models but haven't done one in a long while. I have a wooden fire tower model waiting for me to geek out on. It's kind of meditation for me, singular focus and patience.

I have only put one model together ever(SR-71 Blackbird Spy Plane) as a kid. I would pull my hair if I tried these days

It's called Tron: Uprising and came out in 2012, but it took place before the events of the Tron: Legacy movie. It had a great cast, a soundtrack that took a cue from (and was very similar to) the Legacy sountrack, and was an excellent story. It was set up well for several seasons, but Disney pulled the plug after just one season, unfortunately.

And if you wanna talk about just nerdy stuff in general, I believe this is probably the most geektastic music video ever.

It's for the song "Eyes Wired Shut" by Edgewater, which was on the Thomas Jane Punisher soundtrack. The story for the video is an obvious comic book style story. The video has a cameo by the late Stan Lee, and stars Lou Ferrigno, who played the Incredible Hulk.

Work too much & family too much to really nerd out on things anymore.

Cars/hot rods used to be my thing until I settled down & started a family. Now they're too expensive to justify. Will likely still build myself something for retirement though.

Car & home audio. Always enjoyed building car systems as a younger man & when I got older I got into the design aspect of speaker building. Ended up with a mentor(RIP) that wanted me to dive into speaker design & building but I had a young family & a good job so never took the plunge. Have restored a few vintage speakers over the years & did design my own passive crossover network for a pair I fucked around with but never had the room for a proper workshop & test equipment. Will likely be another retirement hobby for when I can't hear anything šŸ¤£

Cigars. I do enjoy cigars but don't think I'll ever get to the point of owning a brand or a lounge. I also don't even have the largest collection of cigars on this site let alone focused groups. Will likely have a walk-in humidor & lounge room in a retirement house though.

Used to be really into breeding pot genetics. Spent several years traveling CA picking up oldschool P1 genetics from the 70's & 80's. Breed my own couple of strains to sell to dispensaries (clones) back from the late 90's through mid 00's. Dropped that when starting a family. Finally gave away the last of my old genetics just prior to the CV19 bullshit. Don't see myself getting back into that though. I'm old school & it's a very time consuming & demanding "hobby" to have when you refuse to embrace new(er) techniques.

Although im just a bear, I got into boardgames during the pandemic. Just started looking into activities for my cub's sake for wholesome family bonding. Im pretty shocked i have a decent collection going. Have even started painting miniatures. I loathed this stuff in the past so im shocked to be doing it.

Painting is very calming, though tricky with paws.

I have zero interest in all the hardcore fantasy Stuff I see like dnd, warhammer etc.

I like strategic stuff and things to play with my cub.

I recently discovered a war game called bolt action thats ww2 based. I put together little soldiers which was far more fun than expected. No idea if I will actually get to play it though. Not familiar with this type of games.

Sci Fi is probably the only big one. Try to watch everything I can in this category.

I don't game or collect anything and not sure what else is considered nerdy lol.

I work in tech so I am constantly like reading about things related to software development, data, AI, etc but because it's related to work don't really consider that.
