I almost bought the m&p over the g19 because the trigger is like butter. I think I would hate it now. The Glock trigger is basically part of my shooting style now.

Here's a random question, and feel free to call me a retard if there is an obvious answer.

Why would anyone have a "truck gun"? I dont live or work in a high crime area, but I dont leave shit in my car because ive had my car broken into before. Love the idea, but in reality it's a bad idea. Reason for question is ..

Having said that, I will probably own this gun.

It's tied into how many gun owners like to believe it's 1958 and they love life "like it used to be", where high school kids drive to school with a rifle in the back window and disputes were handled with handshakes, everyone worked hard sun up to sun down.

It's a gimmick to make you buy something.

I also don’t leave guns in my vehicles because vehicle burglary is rampant in my area and guns are the most stolen item. My ex-gf’s ex-husband was a cop with a state agency and had his service pistol stolen out of his car when he left it overnight in their driveway.

Was he a Maine Trooper? Because that happened here several years back, his ar-15 was stolen out of his cruiser, but we always leave our ar's in our cruisers, there is a locking stand in the back seat, can only open it with a key or a secret squirrel button when shit hits the fan. He decided to leave it in the trunk area for some reason.

A lot of people in our area drive with a truck gun, especially during bird season.

Tallahassee. He was a state Fire Marshall investigator. Left his pistol in the console of the car and apparently failed to lock it. I was kind of surprised a guy in the position would have an issued firearm but he did, as verified by his ex-wife/my then girlfriend, who was herself an FDLE agent.

Yeah, our fire marshal's are LEO and have a fully kitted out pursuit rated f-150's with all the toys in them. I was working dispatch one night and the LT for the FM called out a traffic stop. He cleared about 45 seconds later so I called him on his cell, I was like what the fuck was that about, FM never stop vehicles. He laughed and said the bastard cut me off and then slammed on his breaks in front of me. I had to stop and have a talk with him.

Yeah, a lot of people don’t understand that state level LE can stop anybody for anything with cause. Guy I know raised hell because a game warden wrote him a ticket for speeding. Another one got irate because a DOT (since absorbed in the highway patrol) guy wrote him one. Dude told him that while they normally stop commercial vehicles they were perfectly ok with stopping passenger cars too. In both cases they were driving at speeds that made them dangerous, not just over the limit. Otherwise they’d have been left alone. They also both passed the LE that ticketed them thinking that they wouldn’t do anything.

If you live around a large population of black and brown people, you need a truck gun.

What's funny is most countries require suppressors.
That's what pisses me off the most. I currently own three. My longest wait for a tax stamp was about 9 months, but that was about a decade ago. The turnaround these days is from minutes to maybe a week, but the added $200 is a kick in the dick. If the tax stamp gets removed, I'll be buying at least 4 or 5 more suppressors.

I'll never pay for any stamp. Ever.
Unconstitutional.

I guess I'll just make a fuck ton of noise.

I felt really gay doing it, but they're worth it to an extent. I live in a pretty densely populated neighborhood and have to pop ground hogs on a regular basis. Twenty-two long rifle isn't loud out of a 16"+ barrel, but my neighbors have never heard me pop them with .22 subs.

300BLK subs out of a bolt gun is a lot of fun, too. It's fun in ARs, too, but it's a bit quieter in the bolt guns.

Everything in my state is illegal, so if I had an opportunity to purchase one and had to pay a tax stamp, I'd do it in a heartbeat even though it's bullshit. My state charges an 11% tax on top of normal sales tax for gun purchases FFS, so I'm no stranger to unconstitutional laws.

This is one of the worst things about california. Has anyone tested the legality in court?
