Lol at Anderson being like "let's do this!" Ed Soares is basically just trolling Twitter now.

While I could give a shit about this fight and it has zero significance, I appreciate that they are both respectfully approaching this as martial artists who want to put their craft on display and see how their skills stack up.

Also, maybe if he earns a bonus for this fight Pettis can afford to replace those lights.

its an odd matchup
silvas been half dead for several fights now
pettis is like 25% dead now
maybe the size diff will equal em up
i suspect theyll each try some flashy moves

Interesting. Whenever I hear Uriah Hall's name I always remember him saying "I'm not ready for Anderson Silva" in one of the UFC Countdowns from years ago. This was when he was considered the next big thing but then lost his "killer instinct". If he isn't ready for Silva now, he'll never be...

War Silva!
He's going to be gun-shy as hell and "show too much respect to the legend" or some shit like that.

It'll turn into a dance party instead of the wizardry that they're capable of.

I love Anderson. Favorite fighter ever. But I want my dude to sit the hell down.

I totally agree with you! How great would it be though if they both came out to put on a show with risky attempts and technical spinning shit?!? The naive kid in me wants to believe, but I know better. Pitter-patter, handshakes, and hugs on the way to a decision no one cares about. I'll still watch.
