i think he was going for the deep dish chicago style. ..it's literally pizza pie..people here argue about which is best, chicago vs. new york..which is ridic to me..eat all of it. no need to fight about food.

i tried spinning a dough ball once...it didnt' end well. ended up making a pizza the rectangular shape of my sheet pan.

i like deep dish...but to me, it's like a meat pie..with the same stuff that's on pizza. conceptually...it throws me off, but it tastes good.

Ye but it's just a thick base NY not fancy pie shape. Ye I'd been working ther 4 years at the time I had it down, drunks sometimes video'd me on Sat late shift. I've spent the day sorting and organising the tool/laundry room, no bread as yet reports to come.

HOMEMADE BANANA BREAD

2 cups flour.
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup melted/softened butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract.
4 very ripe bananas crushed with fork
1/2 cup plain yogurt

Preheat oven 180c or 350F.
In a medium size bowl mix flour soda and powder.
In a large bowl, mix sugar and butter with a fork until it's all nicely mixed evenly
Add eggs and vanilla to the butter-sugar mix. Mix properly.
Then add bananas and yogurt and mix thoroughly.

Pour dry ingredients into the liquid ones in the large bowl. With electric hand mixer mix everything.
Pour batter in cake mold.
Bake for 55 minutes or until knife comes out clean.
Enjoy

Notes: you can add. Chopped walnuts to this mix. It's heaven in your mouth especially when warm out of. The oven.
You can use half less sugar.
I use very very ripe bananas. They're mushy but it's the best for cooking because they're very sweet and flavourful... also easy to crush/mix.
The bread is in the oven, the banana's were the ripest so much so that this spoon I'm licking tastes almost artificially flavoured. Bruised and bit mushy for the win.

all the pizza talk...i made one last night. i didn't throw the dough though. that was my husbands doing...it has loads of garlic, spinach ..tomatoes and parm/asiago/mozz. i put the tomatoes towards the end of cook time..other wise they get too mushy.

Doubled down on the baking powder cause I'd no bread soda, made for a serious rise.

it's has a restrained rustic boldness balanced by layers of sumptuous umami essence. that's food network speak for looks good. obnoxious use of pretentious adjectives to describe tasty. but i can't stop watching those food shows.

Haven't cooked with it yet but someone posted a stir fry guide on the OG and it got me so fired up that my wife bought me a wok for my birthday. I spent a good chunk of this afternoon seasoning it. Keep it mind that it was shiny stainless steel when I started.
Going to try it out this weekend.

Lentils! good stuff.

Personally I either eat purpose specific food, like egg whites and mixed veggies

or foods with some purpose and a specially acquired taste of mine, which is very red meat:

Ribeye cooked for 3.5 minutes per side on medium high. Salt, pepper and garlic butter.

Even pork, I have it slightly red. Just pay for higher quality meat and make sure it gets to 60c. Cook slower. Havent died yet!

Filet of pork (tenderloin), salt, pepper, oregano, parsley butter. This tastes better than ribeye IMO but ribeye has that softness that is matched only by filet mignon (beef tenderloin). Only the best cuts for this gentleman!
