I grew up with a little Suzuki JR50 and had some bikes as a young teen so I decided to get another one early last year again. I picked up a 99 Honda CR125 in great shape for $2000 with gear. In the Okanagan Valley here in BC there is tons of riding but I almost exclusively ride at an area called Bear Creek. Its a paid membership of $80 for the year and they do a really good job of making and maintaining lots and lots of trails. Its set up close to a ski hill in that there are green, blue and black trails and ones that are wide enough for just one bike and others that are made to fit quads and side by sides. They also have a full MX track a Km down the road which is great to go watch and they also have practice days where you can take your bike out on the track and get some laps in. I'll post some pics, if anybody else rides post where and what you ride!!

I posted my bike for sale but while I wait I ordered all new plastics and my friend is going to put a cool wrap kit on it. Also getting new tires, grips, seat cover and possibly some other goodies. I kind of hope my tax return is enough so I can justify keeping it and still buying a 250 so I can have 2, one for visitors and friends.

SOLD!!! I just sold my bike today for $1650 CA. I threw in a set of boots that I had, a jersey, gloves, manual, spark plug and back pack. I didn't use those other items but were all in good shape and I was happy it sold. I'm now actively looking for either a 250 cc 2 stroke or 4 stroke. If anybody has an opinion of either I'd be interested to hear.

Some cool videos. I don't ride, but I did manage the Metal Mulisha brand for western Canada and much of eastern Canada for nearly four years until the summer of 2010. I've worked with a few moto brands despite having next to zero experience riding anything! It made me wish I had started riding when I was young.

Been riding since I was 3, about 37 years now. Grew up on tracks, but have really enjoyed east coast woods riding the last 20 years or so. Recently parted out my last bike on ebay, an '03 KDX220R. Just moved and buying a replacement is on the to do list in the next 6 mos. or so. Raised on two-strokes, can't get with the 4 stroke revolution of the last 15 years or so.

Not my actual bike, but my last was virtually identical to this one...

Really like the KTM 300xc for my next steed

My very first bike was just like this one, a 1974 Honda MR50 Elsinore that my mother skipped paying a light bill to pick up for me in 1978.....for $200 I think...

Not a 4stroke guy, but that 450x is sweet La Paix @BirdWatcher !

Finally! Jesus I though nobody here had a bike. That 50 is fucking awesome man, I'd love to buy and restore one just to bomb around on. Super nice Kawi but that KTM is in a league of its own from what hear. My CRFX is the first 4 stroke I've had and for the trails its fucking perfect, so much low end and I'd highly recommend them to anybody. My brother is wanting to sell his RMZ 250 and get that Husky 4 strike enduro. One of the nest thongs is the electric start, kicking a 450 with rubber legs is horrible.

Yes, I'd give one of my nuts to have that MR still. I've probably owned a dozen or more bikes in my years and it's the only one I wish I still had. The rest are easily replaceable. I've seen some MR's for sale, but it wouldn't be the same for me because it wouldn't be the one I had :(

I know a lot of guys I've ridden with have all switched to 4 strokes and love them. I can't ride 'em as well, a whole different way of riding that I just can't adapt to. Plus, I could never get out of bed for an early ride without the prospect of smelling some burning pre-mix.

:D

If money were no object, and I lived out west(U.S.), this would be my ride....

Service Honda's KX 500AF.....just $18,500 lol

Kawasaki KX500AF Bike, Kawasaki Racing Bike, 500 CC Motorcycle, Off-Road Bike

But in all seriousness, it's what 2-strokes would have evolved into had Honda not convinced the AMA to conspire in the demise of 2smokers.

Although KTM has been spearheading the tech advances on the 2 stroke front for years.

Lol I've never seen those memes. The shop I take my bike to sells candles scented with 2 stroke oil, majestic is the only word to describe it. PM me your info and I'll send you a couple for you and your friends :) seriously. I always love how guys who've rode a long time get so much more excited for old retro bikes over brand new. Ever seen an old Honda gorillaodded into a cafe racer? We had one along side the JR50 as kid, not modded, and it was a 3 speed clutch less and would lift the front tire from 1-2 lol

So awesome! I'd love to build one, wouldn't cost much at all.

OMG! That's a thing of beauty! I've never riden a 2 stroke big bore like that bit I hear its pretty intense. My dad had the old school YZ465 back in the 80s.
