One of my kid's squeezes lives there.I stay in Springfield all the time when driving out to our office in Kansas. Doesn't seem to be a whole lot to do there.
That must have been 35+ years ago. That location has been a Mexican night club for as long as I can remember. It has turned Mexican like most everything else in Anaheim has.Mine was Motorhead at California Dreams night club in Anaheim (100-150 people)
No barriers what-so-ever.
I could play Lemmy's balls if I wanted to.
Motorhead was already established & not just starting out.It was a promotional show for radio station KNAC.
Where did they go to dinner? One of my kid's squeezes lives there.
He drove 2 1/2 hours to spend $250 on her dinner last night.
Friday he's driving 2 1/2 hours to pick her up, 2 hours to Branson to go shopping, then 2 hours home.
She's brutal.
Not in Springfield, but close to where I am at the moment.Where did they go to dinner?
If I had a time machine....Saw nirvana in a bar playing for 20 people.
Saw them the next year opening a theater for sonic youth.
Big place, but almost everyone was in the bar. They killed, and mentioned they had a new record coming out.
2 weeks later nevermind came out.
They played at a college party the night after the first one I mentioned, lol.If I had a time machine....
It had to been in 1986 to 1994.That must have been 35+ years ago. That location has been a Mexican night club for as long as I can remember. It has turned Mexican like most everything else in Anaheim has.
That reminds me of a show at the Warfield around 89. Not small, not huge.NIrvana at The Roxy, The Palace, The Palladium and Iguanas in TJ
Rage Against The Machine at The Coach House opening for The Jim Rose Side Show
Alice in Chains at Iguanas opening for Iggy Pop
Tool at a club In Santa Ana called The Galaxy (now The Observatory). Was supposed to be at California Dreams but was moved at the last minute. Also saw them at The Palladium
Janes Addiction in the backyard tennis courts at a mansion in Bel-Air
Smashing Pumpkins at English Acid right after Gish was released
I also saw Tool at the Palladium around 1997. I got herpes gladiatorum or something from some sweaty jackass at that show. All of my years of bjj, I never got ringworm or anything, but one Tool show fucked me up.NIrvana at The Roxy, The Palace, The Palladium and Iguanas in TJ

That must have been awesomeKid Rock at a private outdoor show during the RNC for delegates only. Some friends got me in. I was the only one not in a suit on that 90 degree day.
Man I had a free ticket to this show when I was a sophmore in high school. A buddy said you get the ticket you just have to drive us up there (2 hours north) to the city... my mom said no. I wasnt going to go to Chocago at 16 with a bunch if other 16 year olds. She said "you'll get lost just going there". All these years later I still listen to this show I wish I could have been there. They played at a college party the night after the first one I mentioned, lol.
They were just another band in a van that needed gas money and a place to stay back then.
