I'll admit that I know fuck-all about the restaurant industry.

(I mean, I *was* a co-manager at Cook Out for 3 months, but don't let me get bougie on you. lmao)

But given my business / marketing experience, and a little common sense, and that shit had me rolling.

Hell, I'm guessing anyone that's watched at least half a season of Shark Tank knows better. lmao

Their pricing is all over the place with current food costs. Their buffet, white rice, lamb, 3 soups in a triple crockpot, broccoli and more broccoli, for 20 dollars.

Hell, I wasn't even talking about any of that...I was talking about strict financials.

Outside of $250k initial investment, a bunch of weeeeeird posts about credit score, $5k licensing fee, and " projected income growth of 35% to 40%" (nothing about profit, though?), there's pretty much sweet fuck all on there about what kinda money you'd make.

When I first started reading the franchise page, I felt sorry for anyone who got sucked in and believed “proven track record of success”, etc. But then as I read on and the errors started to pile up, I knew no one was getting sucked in. Mind botteling to say the least. I hope more effort goes into the food than did proofreading.

Yep, we are in a small town, there were 5 restaurants here when we opened in 2005, we have had about another 10 open since we did. The only places still standing besides us outside of fast food is a chinese restaurant that was here before us and a seafood place that opened three years after us. Chinese place is a mess and barely hanging on, seafood place just got sold and I am hearing grumbling, not sure if the new owner is gonna make it. Every time competition opens up I tell the staff, all we can control is what happens within these walls, competition is good, it keeps us on our A game. We will weather this storm, and we have every time.
