I clearly remember reading other articles like this that say the opposite.

I think it’s a real sign of growth for this forum that we are now talking about the damage weed does to lives.

I remember not too long ago, people openly posting pictures of their “buds” and “nugs” in the Live UFC threads, now they are too embarrassed.

It starts with education. We are changing the culture.and the “Smokey Joes” are running for cover.

Stoner friends are the best!
You can drop by anytime ('cause they'll be at home), they always have a nice and really comfy room, super friendly non judgemental people, great talks about a variety of topics and they always get along with your other friends if you bring them along.

Only when you go there and don't smoke yourself, it becomes boring really fast ...

I know some very successful people who have been smoking a long long time . I don't mean a hardworking guy with hustle. I mean someone who did so well they don't have to work anymore .

It just depends on the person and how they use it . Like substance along those lines probably better to never try it but who knows.

I slept at a stoner friend's house one time when I was younger.

I ended up having to throw out the clothes that I'd slept in, his couch was full of fucking cheetos, and he offered me an unrefrigerated taco for breakfast. I passed.

Isn't it weird how when birds fly in a flock, they somehow fly all in sync as if it was directed by a single mind? How does this work? How do they all fly so fast, so tight, and not all crash into each other? Do they all have some sort of ESP? Do their consciousnesses somehow connect into a collective unified awareness?

So weird!

What is wrong with us when compared to these simple birds? Are we capable of such abilities too? Is this trait dormant in us? Or has it been somehow robbed from us, erased from our education system so that we remain like cattle? There is something interesting about this difference between separateness/individuality and non-dualism/unified consciousness that I think we have lost along the way... Why should we need such rigorous rules and infrastructure just to help us cross the street safely without crashing and killing each other? Are we so out of sync with the world around us?

Heck, we can barely manage a half-assed wave properly at sporting events

Apparently flocking behaviour is a lot less complex than it would initially appear, each bird tracks the movements of a few others flying close by, and adjusts their speed and direction accordingly:

This theory clearly concocted by a non-weed smoker
*hits blunt*

"...but what if, you know, all the birds like linked up telepathically or something man? Kinda became some sort of hive mind, like on that Star Trek episode I saw, you know the one right?"

Those types know when and when not to smoke.

I think as a community we have to change the dialogue around marijuana.

if someone posts a picture of a piece of marijuana, instead of saying “Kind bud Dude”, or “Awesome joint Bro”. We should say “Hey man, are you okay? Do you need to talk?”
