Aldo, Faber, Condit, Chael, Cowboy, Benson, Pettis, Cruz, Torres, Bowles. Almost every fucking fight they put on was GOLD. I did enjoy me some strikeforce though but I felt they lacked the depth of WEC, Pride, and UFC.

Yes, it's symbiotic but the fighters are the backbone.
I have no issue with promotion when the fighters are treated fairly.
You don't get strikeforce or belabor without the ufc. They've definitely grown mama as a whole

According to a recent study in 2015 the ufc paid out more then 20x per fight then the other mma promotions

What I find funny is that many people who hate on Zuffa and UFC claim to be free market capitalists who look down upon regulation yet that's pretty much how Zuffa has been run the whole time. You still think trickle down works when the guys on top have every opportunity to keep as much as possible?
I will say that their money has enabled the UFC to reach the point it has and love it or hate it we all watch because it is the best org out there right now. I love watching most all promotions I can find and while they're a lot of fun, no one has done for MMA as Zuffa has. Of course it's not without drama, controversy and deceit but when there's money to be made, someone will benefit while 500 will suffer.
