I've been to hotels in the middle East that have body scanners when you go inside. And armed security out front. It's kinda weird

I lived in Ecuador. You see armed security guards (NOT cops, just security guards) standing in front of clothing shops holding semi-automatic rifles that are hung over their shoulders. And they're there just to make sure no one steals shit (more likely so that there isn't any large-scale robbery by a gang).

You get used to it after a while as crazy as that sounds, but at first I was like holy fuck.

I saw one conspiracy type video about the vegas shooting where the narrator raises some questions about what's going on behind the scenes and who will benefit from putting body scanners at every hotel on a nationwide scale.

Not saying this was planned or a conspiracy, but you know what they say, never let a tragedy go to waste.

Witness Interview: Luis Nunez

Monica Portillo said on the witness stand that she warned Luis and Daniel Shaver that they shouldn't have the gun by the window.
In his interview, Luis makes no mention of that comment, which seems like the kind of thing he'd remember. But Monica Portillo was probably caught slutting it up with a travelling pest control guy while she was in Mesa for work training.

Luis states several times that Shaver was hammered. Incredibly drunk. And then the detective leads Luis to saying that Shaver was pointing the pellet rifle out the window, after Luis said that he had not earlier in the interview.

The crazy thing is that these cops, for all they knew, could have had the wrong room. The witnesses on the ground could have been off by a floor, and this would have been the drunk guy and the slutty Dollar General manager hooking up at La Quinta.

I don't think it really matters what the guy was doing prior to the cops showing up. The sergeant's procedures were garbage. They can lead the witness into giving whatever statement they want, it doesn't change the shit techniques that took place in the hallway.

Although I am curious...At the very beginning of the video (0:29) when the two enter the hallway after he gets them both laying on the ground, the sergeant said something like "Apparently we have a failure for you to comprehend simple instructions. I'm going to go over some of them again." Then at like 0:38 he said "If you make a mistake - another mistake - there is a very severe possibility that you are going to get shot." Both of these statements reference prior communication.

What am I missing there? Was someone talking to them on the phone in the hotel room and told them how they wanted them to exit the room? It did look like they were waiting for them in the hall. Is there another video that starts prior to the one linked on this thread?

yes. the hotel manager called the room and the police got on the phone and told Shaver they needed to exit the room.

And when they walked out, they were facing the rifles and the screaming nutjobs with badges.

My guess is they tried to exit the room quickly before the cops showed up, but the cops were already there and had instructed them to leave a certain way.

I'd love to hear the phone call conversation that took place.

I hope this incident shows people just what cops can get away with. Everything they did was legal. The one guy retired and the other guy fired because it was a high profile case and they didn't want the public to get mad. 10 years ago they probably wouldn't fire these people
And not care what the public thinks. Also just because You're Fucked got fired, he didn't lose his badge. They just didn't want him at that department yo spur any Mike Brown style backlash. He can still be a cop somewhere else.
