Sorry, it's used when selling you coin. You said transferring. My bad.

I've never paid a fee for any transfers. @Splinty many idea why his transfer fee was so high?
I didn't do it yet, I'm trying to figure out what the fuck the issue is. I thought the whole point of Crypto was that there were no centralized fees for transactions.

Are you transferring it to a wallet address or an email address?

Well that's just peachy... why is Bitcoin dying now?
Right on time...

I expect a hilarious Bitcoin correction that is going to shake everything, but in the end the market is going to keep rising.
And just like that. $5000->4000.

It will get worse. Still anticipate a good buying around the turn of the year.

It'll probably take 6-9 months to regain these losses when they finish.

Eventually the Futures Market should stabilize this. Right now it's a mess. The Futures markets are so different on so many different exchanges. There's no reason that Futures markets should have such disparity.

Don't be fooled - it'll reach record highs before January is over. People are dumping out for Christmas cash but people are going to see the drop in price as their opportunity to get in, and it's going to skyrocket again.

I'm expecting a bottom of 9000-10000 and then a slow rally from there. But hard to say now that coinbase is suspending trading to prevent collapse.
Just posting for my continued crypto Nostradamus cred.

I bought half a bitcoin for fifty quid in 2015 for a laugh and forgot about it. Seeing all this bitcoin stuff in the press made me remember so I went and checked what it was worth now. About £4500. Jesus!

I think I've sold it lol. All I need to do now is figure how to get that bastard cash out of coinbase. Waiting for my account to be verified over the bank holidays........

My teacher this week said “sentiment, anyone want some bitcoins? Yeah, exactly, put all of your savings against that, right?”

Alright since this thread keeps giving. I've stopped being a speculator looking in, and officially jumped in as of a few minutes ago:
Bitcoin, Ethereum, & Litecoin.

Gonna actually have to go back and read this entire thread now *sigh*.
But what the hell, I waste enough of my day on here; I might as well get richer doing it. I'm on your coattails @Splinty, you better not let me down, homes!
Strongly considering doing the same thing.

Nobody can truly predict what is going to happen in the sector right now. It's the wild west. That's why it's so crazy that people are doing dumb things like taking out mortgages to speculate.

Now with that said, you can read a lot that's happening in the sector that's being reported a month before it finally shows up on CNBC and other mainstream mass media.

If you followed closely, you tend to have some lead time on the person getting their news from television or even their main internet home pages.

One interesting thing occurring right now, is that there are some individuals with personal vested interest in Bitcoin cash that are involved in cryptocurrency market analysis for news media. They have a conflict of interest and that they should want to pump this currency that doesn't really have the foundation and distribution they claim.
It's all dirty and crazy out there and that's about the only thing that's a sure thing.

Since you own a Bitcoin before August you also own an equivalent number of Bitcoin cash.

Be sure to sell your Bitcoin cash as well.

I noticed that my 5dimes account will allow me to cash out with Bitcoin. I haven't taken the time to understand any of the cryptocurrencies, but I figured when they allowed futures to be bought and sold against the system that it would stabilize the currency.

I have no dog in this fight, but it has peaked my interest. The futures market allows me to dabble in this shit without actually owning any of it. I guess I have some homework to do. The charts are frightening.

Various future markets have spreads thousands apart from each other lol.

It's a mess. Eventually better but comically discordant right now.

10,400 overnight...

I'm not sure we've seen the bottom. Rough until January then start building again.
Christmas time and all the newbies just got bit.
Only coinbase freezing the largest casual market stopped a bigger drop.

The short of it is that Bitcoin had a branch off the main tree back in August. Due to the way that technology works you now have an equal amount for Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash coins.

I'm of the opinion that Bitcoin cash is a long-term loser. Maybe some others will tell you otherwise but it's kind of hype right now to be 10 times worth what it was originally in just August. Free cash.

Are you using a coinbase app?
