Two main points in the book that might be of interest:
- The level of cultural advancement and the settlement range of humans was higher and broader than previously imagined.
- The New World was not a wilderness at the time of European contact, but an environment which the indigenous peoples had altered for thousands of years for their benefit, mostly with fire.

Re-read it again, slower this time and pay careful attention to any qualifiers or lack thereof in the definition.
Rereading that 100 times doesn't change the fact that there needs to be a belief that one race is inferior or superior to another. There are no outlier(s) they all revolve around the belief of racial superiority or inferiority.
Nobody said you were racist. Seems to me as I said in my very first post, the miscommunication here revolves around people not understanding what racism is.
