I think the integration of fight cards is one of the best things the UFC ever did. It is one thing that really separates them from every other big sport in the world besides tennis. I think women's 115 is one of the strongest divisions in the sport. 135 is in a bit of a rut, but so are men's HW, WW, Flyweight and MW. 125 and 145 will be interesting to watch develop.
Nothing, we just type "poll" into the thread title. I can add it for you of you can't edit now. What did I do wrong setting up the poll. It clearly has a poll and vote going but the title does not say poll like I see on other poll threads.
Again, you can say the same about most men's fights in several divisions. It's just that there's a smaller sample of women's fights so the forgettable ones stand out more. The women do have speed, if not power. Seeing more technical strikes is usually more impressive to me than sloppy KOs, but to each their own.Look at the 3 womens fights this weekend, honestly do any of them excite you at all. I respect them, but those are fights that have no interest to me at all, the skill level is lacking and they have no power or speed like the men. Same reason why I can't watch women's basketball, but I love the NBA. Nothing against the women, its just boring as fuck. Unless its Joanna, or Rose or Cyborg or any of the champs are top 5 girls, I hate seeing them on ufc cards. Just means less fun men's fights I can watch.

Name the WMMA fights that wowed us with technical prowess.Again, you can say the same about most men's fights in several divisions. There's nothing exciting about 90% of cards these days and I can barely keep names straight. But sometimes you get surprised and the fights are fun. Few WMMA fights at 115 have disappointed me. The other divisions need construction or reconstruction. The idea that there's a more deserving male fight that's somehow being bumped for these fights is just statistically inaccurate. My man its all subjective. The men's tiny 125 ers are exciting as fuck to me, they may not have power but the speed and technique is insane, I dont see any of that techniqe in any women's division outside the top 5. Like I said, look at these 3 women's fights this weekend, honestly is there anything super interesting about those fights to you? Ketlin Viera is the no.6 ranked bw in the UFC, she is a decent striker but far from well rounded and elite.
Joanna vs. RoseName the WMMA fights that wowed us with technical prowess.
Some decent fight there, most I can't recall how they looked tbh. I'd argue that any fight of Maganas shouldn't be considered technical by any measure. Perhaps you're referring to Waterson putting it on her, not sure. How many of the fights you listed are title or contender fights?Joanna vs. Rose
Joanna vs. Karolina
Joanna vs Claudia
Tate vs. Zingano
Tate vs. Rousey
Nunes vs. Schevchenko
Pennington vs. Tate
Torres vs. Lima
Rose vs. Torres
Waterson vs. Magana
Those are just off the top of my head.

What I find weird is my reasoning (and probably many others) is that the main thing the women lack is technical ability yet this seems to be what you're most impressed with.
This is why I voted for option 3.Now those fights where great fights, but here is thing, look at those girls, outside of Lima and Magana those are all top 10 ranked girls, most top 5. I have no issue iwth the top 5 women's fight, its the Angela Maganas and Leon Jeon Kim type chick fights that are just excruciatingly boring for me. Joanna vs Karolina was a title fight, Tate and Zingana where the top 2 contenders to fight Ronda, Tate Rousey was a title fight fight, ditto Joanna and Claudio, ditto Nunes and Shevchenko.
Like I said, top 5 great but the lower ranking girls, I can barely watch it, just being honest.
I just think men lack technical ability as well, but get around people noticing it because they can get flash KOs, hard scrambles or muscle through things. Ngannou is actually a great example. Look how much hype this dude had even though we had very little evidence of him having any technical virtuosity. And he just fought the champ and got taken to school. Demian Maia, who is my hero and my Jesus, is completely one dimensional just like Rousey was, but was also able to use his superior size since he's a big WW to put the squeeze on guys until he wasn't. We give dudes a pass on their technical limitations because we're used to seeing them and because they can deliver the finish in spite of it. In WMMA that's less common. Some decent fight there, most I can't recall how they looked tbh. I'd argue that any fight of Maganas shouldn't be considered technical by any measure. Not sure if you know but if you add a @ in front of a users name it'll tag them and they get notified.@Kneeblock, Ngannou displayed great TDD against Curtis Blades, underhooks nice technique and against Anthony Hamilton he finished with a beautiful sub that was technical and you almost never see out of heavies. His issue against Stipe was overexerting himself early and just gassing, had he fought smarter he would have had more in the tank and you would have seen more from him technically I think.

I edited your post above.
Using underhooks to stop takedowns. Muscling a kimura. What technical wizardry!@Kneeblock, Ngannou displayed great TDD against Curtis Blades, underhooks nice technique and against Anthony Hamilton he finished with a beautiful sub that was technical and you almost never see out of heavies. C'mon man. Are you seriously comparing Magnana to Ngannou?Using underhooks to stop takedowns. Muscling a kimura. What technical wizardry!
See, this is what I mean. Different standards. Francis was about as technical as Angela Magana. He just has the power of a neutron star in his fists.
