Some of those are hilarious given their context. Is anyone surprised that a place that was ground zero for a civil war (Sarajevo) or a World War (Germany) would be in ruins?

The Berlin buildings were fine and actually used during the war as barracks. It's a miracle they are still standing.

I'm sure they were fine until the way. They probably saw some shit and combined with Germany's attempt to white wash history I'm not surprised they haven't been kept up. I'm actually surprised they haven't been torn down.

I think most of the buildings in the US are torn down from Atlanta/Salt Lake, etc at least the ones they didn't use. Still a waste.

The fact that they have to go as "Olympians of Russia" or something in that nature. Let them play, or send them home, none of this wishy washy stuff. it shows how corrupt and political the IOC really is.

The Olympics a nothing but a business card, for political/economic gain, used to for power projection, showing prestige. And then, it all just goes away. Not saying it is good or bad, but certainly, it is wasteful.
