Im sorry I hate to fighter bash but this is fucking sad lol. I just read this and wow this guy could not be more dumb if he tried because he was actually trying here lol. I felt bad at first but after reading this he should never be allowed to fight again or at least have a 4 year suspension. Edit

Jon Jones’ disastrous CSAC testimony is a bad sign for his USADA case

Edit: Title edited to remove fighter bashing - L

Just about to read this but I have to say my first reaction watching yestetday was, how in the fuck do you go into this situation with a fucking horrible defence team when you have the money jon should have
That was horrible on their part to allow him to admit/confess all that he did
I hope he machida'd the lawyer after this shit

I watched the whole thing last night, and it was a train wreck. He was so unprepared. He came off very poorly.

Definitely not a good sign going into the USADA case. CSAC did a good job detailing all of his fuck ups. I was originally thinking he was going to get a short suspension, but now I'm not so sure. With all of the things exposed yesterday (lying on forms, having his management forge his signature, not actually taking the courses, etc) I wouldn't be surprised if he gets 2-3 years.

He's actually acted out an ingenious plan to duck DC in a fair fight.

Jones knew he couldn't beat DC clean... so he felt like going in hot was a win/win. He makes a couple million bucks using his nuke juice to win... & then gets busted for long enough for DC to retire. When he comes back, Boogyman DC will be out of the picture & he will not longer need to duck a fair fight with him.

A perfectly executed plan.

What if he already knows they will give him a wrist slap so he didn't bother wasting time with a proper defense?

What a disaster. If he gets 4 years he will have put the last coffin in the nail of unforced errors destroying his career. What a mess he has created........

Totally. 4 years for Jones at this point makes a difference. In the beginning he was still a kid but now he will be into his mid to late 30s in 4 years.

I agree. I was wrong. I, unlike jones, can recognise when I am clearly wrong and make adjustments.

All the signs of an addict, as well as pathological liar & sociopath.
He should be punished harshly.
He makes a mockery of the sport & disrespects it and his opponents at every turn.
He might've gotten away with it if he wasn't so blatant in his contempt for authority & law outside the cage, but he's a complete fuck-up.
He should get the max, and be strenuously tested if he has any intention of pursuing this line of work in the future, on his own dime.
At this point he's the poster boy for how to fuck up your life royally.
He's like the A-rod of Ted Bundy's.

Jon's a Ben Carson-level savant. Utter genius in one area, not so much in others.

Spot On, Spot On Ben Carson is weird as fuck. Dude is a fucking brain surgeon, yet is so stupid in everything else, he literally thinks the Pyramids in Egypt where built for Joseph from the Bible to store grain.

That is actually what he believes and that's fucking crazy because from what I know the Pyramids where built thousands of years before that.

Everyone knows the Pyramids were actually built by Zionist aliens in order to sexualize young crisis actors.

With a little help of course...
yep, but some of that shit he was doing after training only a couple of years was absolutely nuts, like when he was throwing Bonnar all over the place, hitting him with spinning elbows, etc. Prime Ronnie Coleman level steroid intake won't produce that kind of stuff. He's probably the most talented guy ever to come along in MMA.

Of course he can't even dunk a basketball at 6'4" with 28-foot-long arms, so there's that... he wasn't a Randleman-level pure athlete, but he's a fighting savant for sure.

His defense team was just unfathomable. In the first place, a simple google search could have shown them that there IS precedent for Turinabol-spiked supplements, as this abstract shows (the bold part is the chemical name for oral Turinabol):

"Since 1999 several groups have analyzed nutritional supplements with mass spectrometric methods (GC/MS, LC/MS/MS) for contaminations and adulterations with doping substances. These investigations showed that nutritional supplements contained prohibited stimulants as ephedrines, caffeine, methylenedioxymetamphetamie and sibutramine, which were not declared on the labels. An international study performed in 2001 and 2002 on 634 nutritional supplements that were purchased in 13 different countries showed that about 15% of the nonhormonal nutritional supplements were contaminated with anabolic-androgenic steroids (mainly prohormones). Since 2002, also products intentionally faked with high amounts of ‘classic’ anabolic steroids such as metandienone, stanozolol, boldenone, dehydrochloromethyl-testosterone, oxandrolone etc. have been detected on the nutritional supplement market. These anabolic steroids were not declared on the labels either. The sources of these anabolic steroids are probably Chinese pharmaceutical companies, which sell bulk material of anabolic steroids. In 2005 vitamin C, multivitamin and magnesium tablets were confiscated, which contained cross-contaminations of stanozolol and metandienone. Since 2002 new ‘designer’ steroids such as prostanozol, methasterone, androstatrienedione etc. have been offered on the nutritional supplement market. In the near future also cross-contaminations with these steroids are expected. Recently a nutritional supplement for weight loss was found to contain the β2-agonist clenbuterol. The application of such nutritional supplements is connected with a high risk of inadvertent doping cases and a health risk. For the detection of new ‘designer’ steroids in nutritional supplements, mass spectrometric strategies (GC/MS, LC/MS/MS) are presented. "

I'm not saying this would have cleared Jon, much less that I think he's innocent, but Jesus fucking Christ. Did his attorneys research anything at all? Did they prepare him whatsoever? They couldn't have worked more than 10 minutes on his case.

Here's devil's advocate though. People like Jon are nightmares for clients, because they lie to their attorneys too. I knew someone remarkably like Jon (without all the success, but he was very skilled in a number of things, including fighting---an entertaining guy, but irresponsible with a very underachieving life), and he asked me for help on a child custody case. I'm not an attorney, but I consulted with someone I trust who is one, and got a recommendation for him. This attorney bailed on his case very quickly (not officially, but in spirit) because he simply could not keep his story straight. So she just took his money and flopped in court. She found an idiot liar for a client and rather than have her time wasted, she got her retainer fee, showed up a couple of times in court, lost the case (it was unwinnable because her client made it so) and then went on her way.

I suspect something similar is going on here with Jon's lawyers. They have a delusional playboy narcissist for a client, a person so deep in lies and twisted justifications he can't remember how many layers there are, and it's quite possible they don't feel like playing along, except to take his money.
