What are the main differences between Vince McMahon and your old boss, UFC President Dana White?

Dana is one of my best friends and is somebody who I can call up any time and say let’s go for dinner, or drinks or even something completely random like asking him to fly to India, and he’d consider it.

I don’t even have Vince’s number! It’s a very different relationship, I highly respect Vince and very much appreciate the opportunity he’s given me but it’s more like, if I can get a handshake from him and him telling me I’ve done a good job, that totally makes my day.

With Dana, I’d expect him to grab me, hug me, pick me up and shake the hell out of me! If Dana just shook my hand and told me good job, I’d be like ‘what the hell Dana, that’s it?!’

But with Vince McMahon, I’d be like ‘oh my God, Vince McMahon shook my hand and told me I did a good job!’

It’s very different, I have a much more personal relationship with Dana, and a very professional relationship with Vince.

She also admitted she had no idea what she was doing at her Royal rumble appearance (it showed)

In other words, Vince is professional and Dana is a fukn dork
Vince and Dana are different, yes, but let's not forget who we are talking about here. LOL at Vince being 'professional'.

Vinny Mac is a fucking a nutcase who also possesses genius, whereas Dana is just more your run of the mill snake oil salesman who lucked into his position. Overall Vince is a better person as he is more direct and ever so slightly less petty, but he's still a megalomaniac.

He really isn't.

He might be more honest and disciplined but he's a pretty awful human being. I realize Dana White is no angel, but still. For instance, Vince going to elaborate lengths to make fun of Jim Ross's colon cancer was pretty fucked up, as one example among dozens. Saddling Adrian Adonis as a gay stereotype florist as retalliation for Adonis starting union talks, firing CM Punk on his wedding day, those things were also pretty fucked up. I'd probably have more examples if I weren't typing this up at 5 AM while passing out and trying to think of things off the top of my head.

To be fair there's also been far sleazier promoters than Vince McMahon if you know too much about the indy scene, but that's more a condemnation of wrestling as a whole than saying anything good about Vince.

Look, it's subjective. But Dana's own mother despises him, which is about as objectively low as you can get though. There are pedos and rapists in prison whose mothers still visit them every week.

Vince is more crazy, whereas Dana is just scum and we at least know from stories of Vince's childhood the likely causes of his pathology. Vince is a genuinely brilliant intellect and Dana simply isn't - maybe that doesn't make him 'better' but it sure makes him more interesting. I wouldn't work for either of them, but I sure as shit would rather have a beer with Vince.

Vince is the greatest promoter of all time. Dana deserves credit but like lordofthepies said mostly got lucky.

I keep hoping Ronda will eventually disappear and we won't have to hear about her any more now that she is in pro wrestling.

Dana's done a lot of good things for a lot of people. At the core, I think he's a good dude. However, he's done some pretty sleazy stuff to people like Josh Gross, Loretta Hunt, and many fighters (Cyborg for example). I just wish he would be more professional when it comes to dealing with his entire roster...not just the one's that he likes.

In 2016 the average age of pro wrestling viewers was 54! That is a +21 year jump in just 10 years and a +26 year jump from 2000 which is a bigger increase than any other sport on the list (the NHL is in second place over that same span with a +15 increase, but with only a +7 year jump on the last 10 years).

I have no idea why people still watch WWE rubbish, it's for children surely.

I did have a gander at midget fighting once though, that was funny.

Vince keeps a strong game.
