That's a dope pic, but yeah - the guys on the bikes were fucked from the start lol
Fucked with a big dick.

In May 1940 the Germans overpowered the Dutch within a few days aiming for Rotterdam, a strategic hotspot with it being the largest harbors in Europe. They resorted to bombardments to force their way through Holland when the fights took too long. They threatened more bombardments on other major cities which finally caused the Dutch Army to cave in and raise the white flag.

I've been watching a bunch of WW1 and WW2 stuff lately, saw this the other day. Not the most exciting video, but I nerd out on this stuff :)

Ive been watching episodes of Battlefield over the past couple weeks (YouTube). I think it originally aired on PBS in the mid 90s. There are only 10 or 12 episodes but they're each 2 hours long. I was in high school at the time it came out, and the show kick started my fascination with military history.

You can definitely tell it's from the 90s, but I still absolutely love the show. Fantastic breakdowns of some of the most significant battles of WW2.

It's the kind of show that promptly puts my wife to sleep, but I could stay up all night watching it :D

May 4th, tomorrow is our national memorial day remembering those who have fallen during and since the 2nd world war. Those include the allied forces. I'm glad it is still being honored even though there are some elements who are willing to make noise protests during the 2 minutes of silence for those who fought that half century ago. It's important not to forget. So thanks to the Canuckians, Yanks, and Tommies.

If you get a chance watch “Camp X” on netflix. Secret camp, in Canada that trained the US soldiers to be commandos and was essentially the beginning of the CIA. Its only 2 episodes. A holy shit plot twist at the end too.
