Shayna is actually a really good Pro Wrassler. Duke was promising in MMA

This. Jessamyn and Marina were both promising prospects. Marina had a highly legit background in judo and Jessamyn had an exciting style. Baszler was still a very solid fighter going into TUF18 and came by far the closest to beating Julianna Pena.
Then all three joined Glendale Fight Club, the same place Jake Ellenberger, Travis Browne, and Francisco Rivera also went to to destroy their respective careers.

These girls have a combined most recent record of 0-9 in MMA. Does not seem like a great pick up for the wwe. I know it takes a huge imagination to watch the wwe but how are people goinna buy into them being the best. It is all acting but it seems like there are alot of hotter chicks that could pretend to wrestle.

I think her "passion" for Shayna losing was more about her plan backfiring.
She admitted she put Shayna against Pena to humiliate Tate & take out her friend.
