ABC and Dern have actually succeeded in something once thought impossible, they're actually making people want to see a WMMA fight

Steve McClaren (English soccer manager) did the same thing when he took over a Dutch side and then again when he took over a German side. UK sports presenters started referring to him as "Multilingual McClaren"
Back when Lennox Lewis was Canadian, he sounded Canadian. Then he decided he was British again and started using that cringy accent. I could never listen to him after that.

Edit: LL's phony sounding accent was cringy, wasn't referring to Brits in general)

Mackenzie Dern says she’ll remain ‘professional’ despite Amanda Bobby Cooper’s critical comments

At UFC 224 media day, Mackenzie Dern discusses doing media while cutting weight, Amanda Bobby Cooper’s disparaging comments, wanting to fight in Rio despite needing a break, being asked to leave MMA Lab and more.

it's a video interview so you'll have to watch it for cliffs :D

So Mackenzie said she'd remain professional then refused to shake ABC's hand at the staredown...wtf?!?

Just look at that smirk on her face as she's doing it, reminds me of that infamous RDA vs McGregor staredown

it was just a bit of fun, the full footage was available in at least 2 other Dern threads and the weigh-in thread.

are you admitting that I fooled you? because that would be incredibly funny and justification for me doing it :D

BeardOfKnowledge @ConorMcGregorsBeard the WWE ladies could learn how to cut a promo from this one here.
Yeah I like it. Especially considering Dern expected her to shake her hand.
Misses weight by 7 pounds... Then doesn't have the courtesy to even tell her
opponent and just lets her go through her own cut then wan'ts to shake my
hand?

I'd be like bitch please...eat a dick. Not shaking your hand after that bullshit move

About as similar as Swedish, Norwegian and Danish. If you speak one and don't understand the others you are intellectually disadvantaged.
A brazilian (portuguese speaker) can certainly get by in a spanish speaking country and understand the natives IF they talk slowly but if they're talking among themselves or talking too fast it could sound as if it was mandarin.

yup, it's common knowledge that Brazilian's generally struggle to communicate with their neighbouring countrymen that speak Spanish. My understanding is that it's easier to read spanish or portuguese if you know the other language, but the differences in pronunciation make it a lot harder to understand if you're just listening.

Portuguese speakers can generally understand Spanish (Bc Spanish is pronounced phonetically).

It's the Spanish speakers who have a hard time understanding Portuguese, bc Portuguese reduces a lot of words in common speech and is not as phonetic in terms of pronunciation as Spanish.

Learn Mandarin then.

Brazilian Portuguese is about as different from proper Portuguese as Peruvian Spanish is from proper Spanish. Easiest way is to fake it.
