All these cards riddled with women fights and guys who don't even speak English. People are refusing fights, every couple of months there's an "interim" title fight, so called "p4p king" Mighty Mouse is too scared to actually challenge himself and move up a division.

The UFC is pinching loafs and selling them as PPVs. Bellator is more interested in providing a retirement home for geriatric fighters. Hell even the Japanese are putting on legitimate cards based on skill, largely abandoning the freak show aspect that made them great. You can't even use steroids anymore thanks to USADA.

The absence of a legit star like Conor has made it very difficult to care about MMA. GSP coming back and becoming a 2-division champ and cementing himself as the #1 GOAT gave me a real boost, but now it's just going to crap again.

I have to check out of MMA for a while and follow boxing, at least interesting shit is going on there. I'll come back when Conor gets another fight booked.

Crazy to think MMA can be weak without a few guys. At one point the MMA world of fighters was stacked.

I am enjoying it. MMA is more than one mans activity. Most only fight a couple of times a year and he hasn't been around for how long? My MMA world still spins, although its taking some while to iron out the shit storm of the divisions/title holders and contenders in his wake.

Mousasi and Fedor are active and keep me interested.
MVP is about to fight also.
As is Sergei Kharitonov.
DC vs. Stipe is a good one, as is Holloway/Ortega(I think someone "gets hurt").
Waiting on Ferguson sucks.
Waiting on Conor is redunculous, he's basically an irrelevant drama queen AFAIC.
I guess he's done great things for fighter pay?
Other than that he's like a fighting version of blaf imo.
I'm way more interested in Bellator because somewhere down the line the UFC wants me to pay them.
No thanks, RIZIN I'll pay for gladly at 1/3 the price & 4x the show.

It’s boring as fuck right now without Conor and the Diaz bros.

At leas there’s some new blood on the horizon with guys like Suga Shane O’Malley, Zabit? (The Abe Lincoln guy) and Yair Rodriguez. Oh wait, they let him go.

Try to stick around until June 14 (Conor's court date). I'm thinking the UFC is waiting till then to announce his next fight.

As bad as it is now, once his fight is announced it will breathe new life into this sport.

What's funny is seeing all these "old-school MMA fan" goofs posting like crazy in any Conor-related thread

You think they will be hard on him or no?
I doubt it. He's gonna have the best lawyers money can buy and the judge should see it as an opportunity to use Conor's star power in a way that can help Brooklyn (i.e. community service of some kind).

What's key is that he doesn't get convicted of a felony because that could cause immigration/visa problems.

I agree and that is why I asked. Some judges like to make examples out of these type of situations and can be a bit rough. Personally I think he should do some payouts, chill a bit, get back to doing what he does best and that is fight. Some community service is fine because it will just be appearances and stuff like that.

I think the UFC is waiting to see what happens but as soon as they know it won't be long before his next fight (probably vs Khabib) is announced.

If they're smart, they'll try to time the fight announcement to occur on the same day or in the same week as his court case, but that will depend on negotiations between Conor and the UFC.

Man that fight could be rough. If Khabib can impose his game it will be a long night but if Conor keeps moving and stays away from the cage and pops that left, it could be a short night.

Khabib's boxing is terrible and he doesn't have explosive takedowns.

Bet the house on a short night.

Who did all these Conor fans like before the great one came along? Just wondering. Can't imagine a boxing fan that thought the sport was boring after Ali's era was gone(not that Conor is Ali), but you get my drift. Aside from the spectacle, skills and trash-talking there oughta be more to an interest than that. Not hating on any nut-fleas-- just curious.

You make a good point. I think truly the UFC has ruined MMA a bit in these past few years. Their inability to promote fighters other than their select few make it a hard product to push when you have no idea who you are watching and you want to guess maybe 50/50 that it will be a good fight. It's a problem imo.

Maybe you’re bored at the current state of the UFC because they have done nothing but promote Conor and Rousey for the last God damn 5 years.
Fucking build up your fighters and the fans interest in them by promoting a wider range of fighters instead of trying to make a quick buck by over hyping/promoting “stars”.
It’s obvious there is backlash against the UFC hype machine. That’s why there was so much glee when Rousey lost and it’s why a lot of people are eagerly anticipating Conor shitting the bed.

well, conor mcgregor nut hugger was nick diaz nut hugger until fairly recently if that's any indication
