Been in apartments since 2003 and really hoping we get this one. Cool, unique place in an up and coming neighborhood in Portland.

Cross your fingers for me, bros!

Good luck man!
We finally just moved out of an apartment.
Buy a good plunger, a smart thermostat, and some good beer.

Wait and do everything else slowly. You'll be tempted to just outfit the whole house. Don't do it. Do it slowly!

We put our first offer a couple weeks ago. After a brief negotiation and the seller accepting, we’ve had the inspection and tomorrow is the appraisal. I’ve just about gone bald from stress in a short two weeks.

Congrats. Gotta get some fresh snow for your drive way in order to show the neighbors who is boss...

We made an offer, accepted, closing set for 60 days out (our request for timing)....and a pipe broke during the freezing temps.

All covered under insurance and was repaired wonderfully. House has stained concrete and the contractor was just taking the insurance for a total ride. Redid the entire master suite and polished and sealed the entire house floors, even though water damage was isolated to master suite bath and closet.

So worked out in the end....but that delayed the appraisal, missed the original closing, had to pay a small fee to maintain my low rate for one more week (new rates going up up up) etc.

It wouldn't have been so bad except I really wanted the house and the seller was a real prick throughout a process that many would have walked away from.

I hate home shopping and buying lol.

Good advice- this particular house needs a re-done kitchen. Everything else is really up to date, or restored mid-century modern.

Crazy thing is it's got a view, which is super rare here (so I hear). BeardOfKnowledge @ConorMcGregorsBeard probably knows the neighborhood, actually. Looking forward to vagrants going through my trash!

I think we find out tonight/tomorrow if our offer was accepted.

@Splinty will also be happy to hear, after 3 years of talking about it I finally took a week off work and finished my portfolio hahaha.

Definitely not sir, I believe you're thinking of Rambo John J @Rambo John J
definitely not sir,

I am 90 miles south and I drive around PDX....I don't like PDX...it is a crazy mess of Humans

I like smallish towns with woods all around them within a mile or two, I am Eugene...that is very different than portland...both in climate and vibe.

You must be paying a small fortune for a house in pdx. My house has doubled in value in the 8 years since I bought it.
