I would sincerely wish that we all collectively move on from this experience. Never before have I watched a fight, then have a horrible feeling of depression. Not the same depression as watching Chris Weidman get battered by Luke Rockhold, or Robbie Lawler get dropped by Woodley. No, this was a very special depression.
All the credit to Mr Brooks hanging in there, and Mr Jackson for getting to feel like Anderson Silva for a little bit, but that was a very sad fight. Was it bad? Yup, but sad fight is a neat scenario. Watching two fighters, whom it became quite clear from the first exchange, were put in a huge spotlight, only serving to highlight their disadvantages. Season that with only commentary that only Rogan can deliver “Well, he has heart, he could have quit in between rounds.” “If I was a conspiraxy theorist, I’d say someone paid Mike Jackson to keep this fight going.” That was truly unique.
Thank goodness that The Reaper and the Soldier of God revived my faith in MMA there at the end. Almost poetic, almost, were those nicknames.

Yeah, that caught my attention too. I don't follow betting lines, but what were the odds on that fight going the full 15 minutes? Could Mr Black Power have been augmenting his payday at the bookie?

I bought this PPV. I don't regret it, but at 65 bucks, it will be a loooong time before I buy another one.
My point exactly if the PPV's where 2o bucks, no sweat, but at 65 bucks a certain expectation level is expected, and you are a hardcore fan who is admitting you won;t shell out another 65 for a long while, so what the fuck would the casuals say lol
Dana once killed a man in the ring you know. He doesn't like to talk about it but it's the reason he chose not to pursue a career in pugilism despite his obvious talent. Happened a long time ago in an unofficial amatuer 'smoker' back in Boston. Legend has it Dana hit the poor guy so hard the punch sort of sheared the top of his head clean off.
Well it was a horrifying scene as you can imagine, the guys brains were strewn around the ring, some landed on hysterical audience members. The medulla oblongata landed on the toe of Dana's left shoe on the follow through of the punch and just stuck to it as Dana walked out of the ring. Ref was over in the other corner throwing up while panicked audience members scrambled for the exits in the chaos. True unspeakable ugliness.
And it was on that night, the story goes, knowing the lethal power in his hands, Dana White vowed he would never fight again. And fight fans would be denied the privilege of watching one of the great talents in boxing history.

You know, Dana would have really had to have hated Tito to even contemplate ever getting back in the ring again. Knowing the deadly force he wielded in each hand.
Luckily the world was spared the ugliness that likely would have unfolded that night had they fought. Wise decision on Tito's part to back out. No shame in that against a killer like Dana.

I actually like this version of things, where you make it extremely equal playing field. Then it may have been okay to broadcast someone’s entire training camp, highlighting “he’s not so good at stuffing takedowns.” The first time around.
Also I would have loved to see Daniel Bryan vs CM Punk in a shoot fight.

Cain wears his ironically, they had to drag him to Mexico to fight Werdum.
It really did look like he bet on himself by decision and just carried Punk. He even retweeted someone who accused him of that.
