Haha, it is very smelly!! We got the seeds as freebies. I had 9 different strains going and had to cut it down. I'm stuck with a 12 plant limit now.... Was yours brittle?
No, actually for an OG it was surprisingly thick stemmed. All other OG's I've grown were viney. I bought a 6 pack in like '08 and popped all the seeds. All phenos were remarkably similar.

How are they breaking? Are you waiting until the soil is dry to train them? Might want to pinch branches if that isn't working.
I don't have it any longer but they were super brittle for all of us. I just stuffed 16 in a 4x4 so i avoided the issue.

Sorry i thought we were talking about the 18's, lol I just got the gg4 and they were both spaghetti monsters. branches everywhere.... So i broke a bunch in transport and every time i start bending the rubbery new growth i snap it off where i'm bending it. I had to stake the hell out of them for support. deff a scrog plant...

You may be right.... It's also a real pain to trim it's so sticky. If my boy can get my Bruce Banner 3.0 healthy again and it's not ruined i'll replace the gg4 with it. He has them soooo sickly and for so long i don't think they will ever be the same....
I don't have any cuts. I grew professionally until the market went to shit, and weed became "worth-less." When I was doing that I had true clone only cuts, and my own pheno hunting cuts. Everything I do now is just for fun once a year for the outdoor season. All these are directly from seed. I have cali connection's tahoe, larry, chem 91 sk va, and fruit tree (forbidden fruit x purple punch), then apex's Hollywood pure kush, Hollywood pure kush x wedding cake, and Hollywood pure kush x dos I dos, and csi humboldt's bubba's bad bitch (bubba x irene kush).
Wow!! That's pretty fing cool. Very nice line up, my friend got a seed in a bag of larry and popped it. He really liked the bag so fingers crossed. Do you like the tahoe better than the 18?
The tahoe is the best og, imo, and is my favorite strain. I actually had the true cut when I used grow. It blows doors on any other og, hands down. The closest you can get to it in seed form are from cali connection, but they've been fucking around with their males and are now using an f5 to try to get it less viney and a shorter flowering time. I'm skeptical, but they are the only breeder I'm aware of that actually has the true cut (verified original cut).

Typically, with strains not known for going purple, it's the temps when lights are off that trigger it. Most digital hygrometer/thermometers have a button that show high and low of the range. It's always nice to reset it and make notes various times during a grow. I'm in socal, so I never dealt with extreme lows, but certain strains certainly got colorful in the colder months. This is white master (the white x master kush, by og raskal, who ghosted me) and it was completely green except in winter when lights off temps dipped into the 60's.
