Countries change, some are taken over, it happens. There was nothing illegal about the colonization of america. We can certainly discuss moral issues of the process, killing Indians etc..., but there was nothing illegal about it as no laws existed. Fast forward several hundred years and there are laws that govern thee land.

No real liberalism is what our democracies are based around. Some how far left assholes have co-opted the term but in actuality liberalism is what led to liberal democracies like US, UK & Canada.
