You couldnt even be bothered to put our draft on autodraft yesterday but you are waiting on this one. I hope you lose that one as bad as you are going to lose TMMAC FF

The Reds allowed Michael Lorenzen to start the game yesterday. He's had a pretty good year out of the pen (43 games, 3.03 ERA), but he's made it no secret that he would prefer to be in the rotation.

He was on a pitch count, but he went 4 innings and only gave up 1 hit with 3 Ks.

The added bonus of having him in the rotation is you get to use him more at the plate. The dude can hit.

He went into the game batting .308, and in 28 plate appearances he has hit 4 HRs. Usually when the pitcher comes up it's a healthy dose of fastballs, but last night Chase Anderson started him off with a curve ball, and followed it up with a change away. Lorenzen walked his 1st plate appearance, and struck out his 2nd. When he was yanked after the 4th, Lorenzen - who knew he wouldn't go beyond 4 innings in the game - was seen bugging Riggleman by saying "If my spot comes up in the order, can I hit?" Haha. Love it.

For a pitcher...Lorenzen is jacked.

Dan Patrick was just talling about the same thing. Michael "Gun Show" Lorenzen.

He was wrong about the pitch count though. He doesn't get tired. But it's not a good idea to take a dude straight from the pen and have him serve up a 100 pitch day.
