So now she won't testify in front of Congress until the fbi does a full investigation. Problem being, there is nothing to investigate (she doesn't know when or where this happened) and this is not in the fbi's jurisdiction (not a federal crime). So this allegation comes in the final hour (voting was supposed to happen the day after tomorrow), dies not match his lifetime character, the story is all over the place, key details are missing, and she won't testify under oath? Anyone can claim a story lije this and ruin someone's reputation. There is no possible way to prove it one way or another, and this 36 year old alligator comes up right now? Politics are dirty as fuck, lol.

If you believe her story up until that point, Kavanaugh is still guilty of sexual assault and possibly forcible confinement (assuming you have similar charges in USA as I am basing my criminal code knowledge off the Canadian system).

Does a forcible confinement and sexual assault incident preclude one from the position he has been appointed for?
It is impossible to believe a story lacking all key details, especially without hearing the other side. She claims she was wearing a one piece bathing suit under her clothes and that is why the assault couldnt take place, yet can't even say whether there was a pool at the house. Does she wear a bathing suit under her clothing every day? There are questions that need to be answered. You can't simply claim something and have someone ruined, then go away with no reprocussions. This is why we have the court of law.

I was pointing out the poster was willing to accept half her story in the part he quoted... yet even that half included criminal actions.

Not sure that's true. The FBI manages a huge part of the nomination process so things might be different here regarding verifying things the FBI puts directly into the background and supporting documents of the nominee.

If it happened the way she said it did, sure.

If she filed charges at the time of the incident, it's possible his entire career path would have been different. Or it's possible that the cops chalk it up to drunken teenagers doing stupid shit and nothing happens.

But she didn't say anything for 30 years.

Have any other women stepped forward, other than the 200+ vouching for his character? Including the one who dated him in high school and said "He was always a perfect gentleman when we were together."

The whole thing reeks of political sabotage.

It reeks of political sabotage by the way the Dems handled it but I also question the ability of the republicans to come up with that many character references int he time frame they did. Fishy all around.

Endorsements only matter if the person being endorsed sought or accepts the endorsement.
No, that's not the only time it matters:
No one wants criminals, rapists, child molesters and recalcitrant malcontents to endorse them for a reason.
Because guilt by association is a thing.

This sounds overblown.
If she is willing to dig through 6 years of counseling to affirm this incident, I'd like to know what happened the other 5 years and 364 days that led to her being in counseling.

It's a thing, and the thing is called a "logical fallacy". Association Fallacy is a type of Ad Hominem Fallacy.
so no reasonable conclusion can be drawn about an endorsement unless the endorsement is sought and/or accepted.

so they came up with 'too many character reference too fast'.

Your bias is showing, fren. If he hadn't come up with enough character references fast enough, that would have certainly indicated some sort of proclivity to the behavior he's being accused of...but now you're setting an arbitrary standard for speed/quantity of supporting voices, and I think it's only to serve your preference for a different SCOTUS nominee.

She can't remember details, claims she knew his intentions when he was 17 fucking years old....

Well no shit sherlock, a 17 kid wanted to get laid at a party, on the next episode of "Big Fuckin Deal" we have the case of a 50 year-old politician who ditched her friend at a sketchy nightclub 31 years ago...stay tuned.

Why does anyone pay attention to this kind of stuff?
