Realised, these people are all smart. They're not white knights and they're also not creeps. There are women here, awesome brilliant babes. Q and As. Then I saw all the CDNs and was like okay fuck this, I'm in.

And then the software turned out to be a luxury dream. And then everyone was friendly and welcoming.

So I'm happy here! On the UG, you'd just get fucked or killed. ;):cool:

Fiona, I love your very educated posts, but " these people are smart" is very optimistic and we are creeps, at least I know Priziesthorse @Priziesthorse and teamquestnorth @teamquestnorth are, while I'm just a good ole boy :) but we love you...

Yeah, R/MMA's popularity blows my mind. Those 2 months we had the subreddit while this place was being developed was brutal. I HATE the format there. Hate it. And then I noticed the people that frequent r/mma are just as bad as other forums, as well.

Irish I dig your posts too, and it's possible I'll meet some dummies, but the smart-to-dumb ratio here is like Vitor's T:E. And Priziesthorse can be Creepiesthorse all he likes as long as he keeps up the movie recs. As for TQN, as a fellow Westerner and lover of old-school Team Quest, he can be creepy too as long as he keeps the Team Quest love alive in these hard times.

La Paix @BirdWatcher , my husband doesn't have a SN. He doesn't post anywhere much, and when he does, he's like the Littlest Hobo of internet posters-- frequents somewhere for awhile, improves it, then moves on. But I've been meaning to say to Wild @I Wild Each It for awhile that MrO is a software developer and gives the site massive respect, particularly on mobile.

r/mma is worse than sherdog/ug by a long shot.the mods are nazi faggots and the posters are condescending pricks.threads get deleted with a quickness and there is a real mob mentallity with the posters.i would like to see the stats over there ,i bet r/mma gives out more negative karma than the whole rest of reddit

Weird thing is I always knew submissionfighting.net from the technique photos they used to post that eventually came out as the Fighter's Notebook. Back then there was nowhere to get new techs if you didn't have a regular gym.

But I never made the connection between the forum and the tech stuff.

Got started backyard training with my bff Wintermute @peter_weyland who was doing kempo at the time. Grappler since '96 with Krishna Mirjah, who's a Serra guy. Off and on, but mostly off. Did some jkd with Tim Tackett and Bob Bremer out in so-cal. Lifelong boxing enthusiast, but not much of a boxer. Taught kids BJJ for a couple years and cornered/managed some ammy MMA fighters here in NY. Coach my son a bit now in wrestling, but he's only 6 so it's like we're getting sharp together.

Nothing too glorious. Just always loved studying the game and been around for a lot of tournaments since back when people thought this was just a fad.

My HS wrestling coach would catch me practicing chockes and locks and get steamed. "Quit fucking around Rizzo!" Then he'd roll me hard and I'd get worked over real good.lol
