My brother used to make 'cheese flaps'. We grew up really poor and the church gave us food. Point we had to be creative.

He would take cheddar cheese and melt out on a plate. It was a big pile of melted cheese that looked like a thin pancake.
I never tried it, but maybe it wasn't too bad.
