he got fired as editor of GungHo magazine back about 1980, cause he got caught faking being shot with a 308 while wearing the first "rifle-rated" body armor. He later set up what later became Front Sight, where the guy running it has been ripping off people right and left ever since. He started this bs of a "4 gun " master, smg, rifle, shotgun and pistol, when there's no need to bother with the smg or shotgun (as a weapon) at ALL. Big waste of everyone's time and money and so are the shotgun parts the 3-gun matches of today. You wont HAVE both a rifle and a shotgun, and you dare not limit yourself to the short range of the shotgun.

In 77 I rode with bill wilson out to the first IPSC combat pistol national champs, in golden CO. The range was just actoss a valley from the Coors plant. We couldn't practice there, so Bill and I heard about a backwoods range and drove there in his TransAm. Chuck and his SOF crew were there, having constant failures to feed with a canned Mac 10 .45. He was trying to use cast lead roundnose lrn bullets in it. He later, in his review of the gun in SOF mag, said it fed them "flawlessly". :) Chuck was head weapons instructor at Cooper's place in AZ, until he caught Jeff rigging the steel targets in a smg vs rifle vs shotgun "test". Jeff added weight/angle to the pepper poppers, so that only a 308 or 12 ga slug hit would down them. Chuck was a big fan of the smg, cause he could make money charging people to "train" on his smg collection and was outraged at Jeff's deceit.

I dont even draw my pistol I just shoot it through my pants into my target. this is a great move tactically because people think I am just reaching for my weiner unbeknownst to them a bullet comes firing through my pants also looks bad ass to have them catch on fire.

I had to laugh once, when a guy showed me that he carried a smith chief in his front pants pocket, no holster and with the hammer spur still present. He showed me that he could use his thumb to "prevent" snagging. I told him that I could slap his face and be out of range before he could draw and hit me. We set up a test on the range. I smacked him a good one on the shoulder when the timer beeped, and he needed 4 full seconds to draw and hit a torso at a mere 10 ft, starting with his hand alongside of his legl. I showed him that I could be 30m GONE in 4 seconds, and we set him up at 30m, along the line of the moving torso target at the range. He shot at it 5x and never hit it. MAN he was pissed about that and sold the smith the next day, taking a $50 hit on it, in 1977. That would be about $300 in today's money.
^^^^^^^^check out billy badass ova here bitch slapping an armed man ova there.
