Defeated as in their control.
I assume you mean under control?

And ISIS isnt under America's control or the National Security Advisor wouldnt have stated America needs to stick around until ISIS is actually defeated.

You have a strange definition of a defeated enemy.

I definitely want the UN human rights commission (whom they appointed to be headed by Syria ) investigating western nations to make sure everything's on the level.
This UN commission has been working with western nations cooperatively for decades. What has changed when Trump came to power?

Trump tells FEMA not to send more money to California for forest fires
President Trump said Wednesday that he has ordered the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to withhold funding for California unless the state takes measures to improve its forest management to prevent wildfires.

"Billions of dollars are sent to the State of California for Forrest (sic) fires that, with proper Forrest (sic) Management, would never happen," Trump tweeted.

"Unless they get their act together, which is unlikely, I have ordered FEMA to send no more money," he added, calling it a "disgraceful situation in lives & money."

Trump later retweeted the statement with "forest" correctly spelled.

No defeated. If my team defeats another team we won, they were defeated but not gone. Under control is also a good description as well though.

You don’t really want a discussion. You are simply attempting to score points for your team, which is why you are being willfully blind.

As long as a single member of ISIS exists, you will not concede that they are defeated. The fact is, the command structure of ISIS has been dealt a crippling blow and at this point, their sporadic attacks are simply a ‘hangman’s dance’ of sorts.

...but you don’t like Trump and cannot be objective, so i would have a better chance at jumping to the moon than convincing you anything that doesn’t fit your narrative. Everyone familiar with your partisan opinions knows exactly what you would be saying if Obama was making the claim. (Something to the tune of #BigWin #ObamaIsLit )

that would not be the gargantuan unprecedented, unscaleable, impenetrable mega wall financed by Mexico trump promised his voters.
Oh, but it is.

"We built that wall. They don't want to call it a wall, but believe me, it's a wall. The most beautiful wall you've ever seen."

"Did Mexico pay for it? Of course they did. all the money we saved from deporting Mexicans was what we used, so you can see we clearly had Mexico pay for the wall. It's a good, good wall."

Still undecided if I should take your word for it or stick with the opinion of the National Security Advisor.

ISIS may have been dealt a crippling blow but they are still enough of a concern that Bolton feels the need for American troops to stick around and continue to fight them.

Trump walks out of shutdown talks with a 'bye-bye'
The Republican president ended talks after Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer stuck by their refusal to fund his planned US-Mexico border wall.

Mr Trump called his meeting with the pair "a total waste of time".

Some 800,000 federal workers will go without pay this week for the first time since the shutdown began.

The president tweeted afterwards that he had said "bye-bye" to the top Democrats.

Arrests For Illegal Border Crossings Hit 46-Year Low
Arrests of people trying to cross illegally into the U.S. from Mexico plunged to the lowest level since 1971, as fewer people attempted the trek, the Department of Homeland Security announced Tuesday.

Meanwhile, immigration arrests in the interior of the country increased by 25 percent, the data show.

The newly released data provides the most comprehensive look yet at how immigration enforcement is changing under the Trump administration.

The dramatic shift in arrests of undocumented immigrants from the Southwest border to the interior of the nation continues to be a prominent feature of the Trump presidency.

"Overall, removals are down because the border's under better control than it has been in 45 years," said Tom Homan, acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

New data released by DHS show that Border Patrol arrests are at a 46-year low. Border officers apprehended 310,531 people for being in the country illegally in fiscal 2017, a 25 percent decrease from the year before. Meanwhile, arrests by agents with ICE in the interior of the country spiked from the year before to 143,470 immigrants — mostly Central Americans.
FDA says most food inspections halted amid shutdown
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) says it has suspended all routine domestic food facility inspections amid the partial government shutdown.

FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb told The Washington Post that he is putting together a plan to resume inspections of facilities that are deemed "high-risk."

The agency, which oversees the majority of the country's food supply, typically conducts roughly 160 routine inspections per week, the Post reported.

While food inspections of most of these facilities have halted due to the funding shortfall caused by the shutdown, Gottlieb says he is seeking to bring back enough workers to investigate high-risk facilities, which deal with sensitive foods such as seafood and cheese.

Investigators during these routine checks typically look for unclean conditions, bug infestations and harmful contaminations.

“We are doing what we can to mitigate any risk to consumers through the shutdown,” Gottlieb said.

The FDA is still reportedly inspecting foreign manufacturers and producers involved in recalls or outbreaks.

Forty percent of the agency's operations are covered by Congress, while 60 percent is funded by user fees, according to the Post.

The shutdown on Wednesday hit day 19, as White House negotiators and Democratic leaders continue to dig their heels in over President Trump's demand for more than $5 billion in border wall funding.

Trump has been seeking to frame the wall as the answer to a crisis at the border, while Democrats insist the president is playing politics and seeking to shore up support from his base. Democrats have offered $1.3 billion for border security measures, but no specific money for the wall.

More Americans are feeling the ramifications of the prolonged shutdown as affordable housing contracts expire, Transportation Security Administration workers quit or call in sick and federal workers sue over the financial strain.
Manafort intended for polling data to go to 2 Ukrainian oligarchs who owed him millions
Serhiy Lyovochkin and Rinat Akhmetov, two Ukrainian oligarchs who had paid Paul Manafort for years for his political work in their country, were the intended recipients of the American polling data that Manafort shared with Konstantin Kilimnik during the 2016 presidential campaign, a person familiar with the matter said on Wednesday.
Special counsel Robert Mueller's team has been circling Lyovochkin and Akhmetov's dealings with Manafort for a while, as they were both key, generous backers of Manafort's Ukrainian lobbying work, prosecutors said at Manafort's financial fraud trial last summer.
The Justice Department initially asked Mueller to look into the pro-Russian Ukrainians' ties to Manafort, a former Trump campaign chairman, because of how they may relate to other allegations of Russian coordination with the Trump campaign.
The sharing of the polling data with Kilimnik was revealed this week, despite being redacted in a court filing, due to a formatting error.

US border guards are super lax around this part. I guess that's what happens when you're forced to work unpaid for two weeks.

Maybe the dems should just give the guy the money for his wall and that will end. We already have a wall, they have already voted for it in the past, stop being a bunch of babies. They are afraid if they give Trump his wall 2020 is a lock for him, we all know.

Piece of shit just making up whatever shit he thinks will sell to his idiot base. Of course it’s easy to prove that there are not supercharged vehicles full of drugs outrunning law enforcement vehicles across the border. But they know the bulk of their supporters aren’t smart enough to know a lie from the truth or don’t care. It really is the dumbest time in American history.
Fucking Dan Quayle couldn’t live down misspelling “potatoe”. This guy drags his lumpy ass out of bed and says insane easily disproveable things each day. Still these morons cheer for him like he’s a WWF character and not the President.
