Bozy @Bozy

As of Thursday

There’s really nothing new on the Lars Sullivan story. The company is handling it about as well as could be possible and to the best of our knowledge he has been told he has the option to return when he is ready and the company is very supportive of him. He was not mentioned once on television this week. It’s probably for the best he didn’t come back this week given the way they debuted most of the newcomers

Here is the deal with Cena
He was announced for Rumble but was never booked bc he is starting a movie.
Larson was supposed to injure him but Lars issues prevented him from debuting.
So they made a fake injury

I can see that being all the plausible. Would have been nice for Lars to get some momentum that way.

HHH told Meltzer he is cleared to train again
I wonder if they do the rumored Batista match at Mania now?

Abyss looks headed to WWE
Didn't see that coming

Poor Impact is being killed by the talent raids lately

Why was Taker taking pics infront of a Impact banner with Impact stars? Weird. Could be a old pic. But he looked rough.

An Abyss run in on a Hot Bray would work well. That storyline could be fun.....But no Bray.......i don't see Abyss needing to be in a Wyatt Family type stable. But now that Lars is out of the picture. Abyss can fill that monster role.

Meltzer:
Cena movie is pushed back so he can do Rumble
As of now Ronda's stint might end at Mania
She signed a multi year deal but only 1 for wrestling.
The rest is an ambassador type role

She could stay a little longer in a Cena type role.

Meltzer added that Rock wanted Becky to be in the Fighting With My Family movie, but she turned it down because it would have been too much time away from WWE
She did The Marine bc it was only 3 weeks

-

You have to love Becky
Anybody else would have done it

Royal Rumble week sales are really soft:

The Royal Rumble, the WWE’s second biggest show, headlines a major weekend of WWE events that includes what could be the best Takeover show to date, as well as a tournament, and television tapings for all five of its brands.

The Rumble takes place on 1/27 at Chase Field in Phoenix, which is set up for 43,000 fans. There may have to be some tarp or papering, because there are plenty of tickets left.

The expectation right now is 25,000 to 30,000 paid for the Rumble, 7,000 to 7,500 for Raw at the Talking Stick Arena on 1/28, which would be a big disappointment, 6,500 to 7,000 for Smackdown on 1/29, and 8,500 to 9,000 for Takeover on 1/26. It really shows how much things have changed when Takeover is the most popular non-PPV ticket of a big weekend, although Saturday night is also the best night to draw.

About two-thirds of the upper deck and several lower deck sections on the same side of the hard camera aren’t being used for Takeover, which has a $39.87 secondary market price.

For Raw, only three sections facing the hard cam are opened with the rest being tarped, as well as one section of the lower deck on the same side a the hard camera. The price for entry on the secondary market is $33.10.

For Smackdown, none of the upper deck is being sold and one lower deck section is also not being sold, with a $26.60 price for entry on the secondary market.

For the Rumble itself, they are using the full stadium aside from the portion of the stadium that will be blocked off because of the stage. Included in the 25,000 to 30,000 expected paid would be 2,000 tickets still left on the secondary market, with a $22.80 price for entry.

Vince isn't going to want to hear this, but they really need to stop trying to fill gigantic venues.

From what I understand they even give sweetheart deals to make it work for Mania.

They bring in a lot of revenue to the hosting area
WWE benefits from all the other show that come in
It is basically a 7 day event with Wed being the beginning of parties & wrestling events & lasting through Smackdown on Tuesday.
So they are in a position to get tax breaks, hotels, etc.

it is a reason why UFC goes or doesn't go to some areas (Hawaii)
They are waiting for the areas to make them a deal.

but nothing competes with Mania except Super Bowl

Will we see Roman in the RR?
He has been doing his own stunts on the film where he plays Rock's brother.

So he seems healthy enough to do it

the only thing is ...
he would really need to win due to the reax he'll get

3 .months long enough for a rumble surprise? He doesn't need the win to main event Mania. He could wait until next month and make a huge return on raw. Either way I'm glad he's healthy and hope he gets the fans behind him on his return.

I am not saying he is. But the pop would be huge.

Oh & guess what?

The film Roman was doing with The Rock has wrapped

Thinking out loud ...
Roman being thrown out by Lars could get Lars over

I can't believe Vince & Kevin Dunn came up with this for ricochet

Ricochet becomes Rick O'Shea - cousin of Sheamus and joins The Bar to have a 3-on-3 feud with New Day

Just kidding. Saw a member post it on Meltzer's board as a goof & lol'd. Mainly bc it could happen if not for HHH
