Proof you and your ilk know a word, but don't know what it actually means.
"Hey, poor black people. Us super successful whites are going to give you some stuff because we know that you can never be as successful as us without our help."

Yup, nothing racist about that.

By stuff, you mean better education, better vocational training, better healthcare. Seems crazy to me anyone would argue against that and call it racist.

Please make me a victim of racism and give me stuff.

Would a family not descended from slaves but living in the same neighborhood be entitled to the same reparations?

Im ok with that.

Bringing it back to the start of the discussion, I still dont think providing reparations is racist. I further understand your opinion though.
If we want to help everyone. Cool, let's do it.

If we select certain groups to help based on race, then not only am I not interested, but it also won't fix any of the problems it's intended to.

Cash reparations is probably impossible. It's also probably not the best policy.
A series of spending bills that spent money on things like school and economic development in primarily black areas would be a pretty good start and doable.
Even just doing a bill like that and having economic cut-offs for communities would pick up the majority black communities with similar results.

Id support that kind of targeted investment even when I often disagree with many left leaning policies.

I agree that many policies that are race focused seem to only inflame tensions. But, developing really good schools in Black communities would probably be one of the best things you can do to get students and their parents to naturally desegregate.

A lot of white flight happens simply as individuals with means look to provide their children the best economic opportunities. I'm sure there are plenty of racists in the mix, but lots are just looking at school outcomes and not willing to sacrifice their children to a bad education machine for the sake of diversity. And with that more white kids are into suburbs and private schools, while the remainder of the schools and tax base falters. Cycle begin, cycle continue.

Nobody should be unhappy about correcting bad schools for American children. Equality in the schools would go a long ways to not requiring federal "forcing" on race issues that seems to often have a counter-productive effect.
I respect what you said. I dont want to go too far fown the rabbit hole here but in my opinion its not just a race issue. Ive know ghetto white, black, mixed, mexican, fill in blank people and its usually an underlying theme of them just not giving a damn. If you spend your rent money on booze or smokes then you arent going to make it and thats the way it should be. Thats common sense. People want to act street/tough/hard and then bitch that people dont treat them like other people or with respect.... no shit! Its a culture issue not a race issue. Throwing money at that will never fix that issue. I always thought that K-12 education should be free (enrollment, books, food). Anything past that is on their own. It does make me shake my head when people get all hell bent about how evil the govt or the man is but then will be the first ones in line for a hand out.
