I know the details. The article covers it enough. F35 Is the best the west has.
I don't necessarily doubt it, I was simply saying that obscure articles showing vague kill ratios don't tell us anything and that there is a massive incentive to lie. That doesn't mean that the plane isn't awesome - you'd hope it would be with the ridiculous amount of money spent on it.

It's only been used twice in combat afaik, first by Israel to bomb sites in Syria and second by the U.S. in either Afghanistan or Iraq/Syria. But like you said, the secretiveness of it's real efficacy means that we know nothing.

Apparently it's supposed to be 95-100% as good as the F-22, a jet which is no longer made (because it was ridiculously expensive to make) and was only ever available to the U.S. military. If we can believe people (some Australian) saying that the F-22 was "the best fighter jet ever made" then it definitely gives us hope that the hype surrounding the F-35 is real.
Nobody credible denies that both the F-22 and almost certainly the F-35 are so far superior to anything the Russians, Chinese or Europeans have that it's a kind of a meaningless point anyway. Either is good enough.

But the fact that it they are only getting used to bomb tiny, non-threat countries or goat farmers is kind of telling. The newest planes are unlikely to ever be used against each other enough to be able to know how good they are. If 100 F-35s are shooting down 100 Su-57s, then by time we realize, we've probably already been wiped out by a nuclear blast. So we build these amazing weapons for them to either sit in a hangar or do a job that a plane built 50 years ago can do just fine.

Wing Commander is fairly high up the food chain...
In the Indian Air Force "Wing Commander" is a rank, that is pretty much the equivalent of a USAF major or lieutenant colonel. In the USAF, "Wing Commander" is a duty position, rather than a rank. It is usually held by a Colonel or Brigadier General.

More importantly, it would be a crime against humanity to detain that magnificent mustache.

Pakistan probably had to give him up over the UNESCO Heritage Site status of that man's mustache.
