Finished "A Christmas carol" by Charles Dickens a couple days ago. it's a really cute story with interesting symbolism and I do like the setting and overall tone but it's not what I expected at all.

anyone is into Dickens' work? Does he have more "realistic" books with down-to-earth storytelling?

A tale of two cities is great.

I’m sure you have heard of China’s Ghost Cities:

'An incredible amount of waste': What China's eerie ghost cities say about its economy

I believe the US is doing the same thing - both are trying to stimulate their economies by building building building despite no one to occupy these new buildings that are going up.

It’s an illusion...

Sooner or later the boogeyman is going to catch up ...

also why the Repulicons and Democorupts arguing against Illegal Immigration is FAKE NEWS because they need the wage-slaves to serve them and populate the nation just as was done throughout USA history

sometimes I walk to McDonalds to enjoy breakfast and a bit of socio-anthro field work. As I observe the subjects and collect the data I note that people of ALL shapes and sizes are indulging in the criminal cuisine of the GOLDEN Arches or at least the liberally snobbish or rare conservative adult fitness faction likes to suggest but yet I see some SLIM JIMS enjoying their McThis and McThats and so how is that possible? Shouldn't every McCustomer be a Diabeetus McFatty?

or is it the case that people process calories different and some fatties do have a valid excuse for their excess bulk and the snobbish liberals and rare conservative fitness factions are a genetic Elite which then suggests an issue of Genetic Inequality?

this is very curious......

I don't know, some of those Old Timers enjoying their McBreakfasts look pretty good, presenting a smart looking trim structure. Do these fellows have a superior garbage disposal system that eliminates toxins and processes what is useful?

Metabolism, genetics and eating average portions lead to a McDonald’s slim body.

Maybe the slim jims only go there once a month while the Fatty McFatFucks are going every day.

Confession: I NEVER let people out of fast food parking lots even when it's convenient to do so. Like if I'm waiting for a light to change and my truck happens to be situated right in front of the drive thru exit - sorry pal, not today. It's my way of punishing them for making bad life decisions.

I use to work at bpi. That place where pink slime is made. When we use to make the chips for McDonald’s they added ammonia to the batch. Iirc McDonald’s, Taco Bell and another company we would add ammonia to the product. Burger King was the only one we wouldn’t add it to. This was years ago so they might have changed but I doubt that. Can’t make money selling the good stuff to people.

There's food grade ammonia in chips ahoy, and oreos.
