That's been going on forever. The over the top public displays of sexuality, which I agree are often quite vulgar, are meant to be a counter to over-the-top gay bashing.
It is actually in the modern version of the pride parade that corporatism and "Family friendly" have become intertwined. And with it appropriate questions on whether children should be at events including grown men wearing leather assless chaps.
But again it's quite the opposite of these parades being something new or at the end of the cycle. These parades are just fashionable now and including a historically unallied population. It will be interesting to see if the parades become "toned down" as these other interests are taking part.

I don't have a choice. Freedom of speech. They can do what they want. My point is that this isn't something new and in fact has been much more rucus in the past.
As I said I find some of it quite vulgar and I don't think that there's a place for children in an event that has nearly nude grown adults groping each other.

I’m not going to hide my kids from sex scenes in movies or cover their eyes if people are making out. Nor do I think that people should be ashamed to show affection in public, but there is a line between an all ages and adult function.
