Idk what's funnier, your criticism of shitty cards or how butthurt other people get about your criticism of shitty cards
The funny part to me is that I get comments like 'you've become an insufferable cunt' when anyone paying that much attention should know that I have always been an insufferable cunt. There's just more shit we have to consume now with the ESPN deal.

PPVs now look from the beginning what they used to look like after 10 fighters pulled out injured or got busted by USADA before they'd learned how to dope properly. I think that's something people forget when assessing how many crap cards we had in pre-ESPN era. There were less, and a lot of the awful ones weren't that awful to begin with. Now cards stay completely intact and you still want to kill yourself.

Look at UFC 242's 'co-main'. Who the fuck even asked for a Barboza-Felder rematch and why on Earth is it co-main eventing a PPV? Barboza has lost 3 of his 4 and Felder lost to Mike Perry two fights ago. Once everyone is done creaming their pants over the fact we get 3 whole decent intriguing fights at UFC 241 (3!), that'll show people the sad reality again.

6 events in the next 7 weeks including this one. Two of those events headlined by females.

It's not like you're saying the events don't produce good fights, because they sometimes do. You're just saying that there are few to no high-caliber fights on the card.

You're not wrong; it's what is to be expected when there's an event on nearly every weekend.

Schedule is of course a big part of it, but so is the growing trend towards gutting the mid-tier fighters and ramping up the regional presence on cards. You put Jon Lineker on a card instead of a random regional bum and it immediately looks like a better card.

Pre-ESPN, the UFC would serve up trash for a while but then get hungry for some PPV dollars, meaning they'd actually bring in Lesnar or think about doing Khabib-GSP. But they'd also realize they needed to throw a bone to the hardcores every now and then to keep them buying the shitty PPVs and would thus stack some undercards. Now they have no major incentive to do this and it shows.
