FSU program is in shambles. I can't see Fickell going there.

I'm not saying he won't go to a program in a better conference should the opportunity present itself, but I don't see FSU as any better than Cincy at the moment. If anything Cincy is heading upwards and FSU is in a death spiral.
I would love to know the real story of Jimbo's last couple of years there.

FSU has more historical success (3 national titles) and a lot more money to throw at a potential new coach though

It blows my mind that FSU got outbid on the guy they forced Bobby Bowden into retirement for.

I mean he won them a championship so it was still probably worth it but wow, you'd think they would've matched or beaten that offer.

Rumors were that he didn't get along with the administration, and some high profile boosters wanted him out. If that's true. they're fucking idiotic. Like you said, look at the dude's credentials. He was winning and there weren't any scandals that I can think of. So why the desire to oust him? His personality? Ego? I'd love to know the real story.

This should be a really good and competitive game. If it were in The Ville, I’d take the Cards. On the road, Miami in a close one. What’s the spread?
Miami -6.5 so spread those cheeks.

Jk we're expected to win so we'll probably shit the bed

Georgia football schedules home-and-home series with Ohio State

I am not sure there is a team that schedules more competitive games OOC over the last 15 years and in the next 15 years than UGA

Just added tOSU to 2030 and 2031

2030 will now have an OOC schedule of tOSU, Clemson, and Georgia Tech

2031 will have Oklahoma, tOSU, and Georgia Tech
Admirable, but stupid.

You're in a major conference. If you win every game or most of the time only lose 1 game, you are guaranteed a spot in the CFP.

I would get doing that if you're in the Sun Belt conference but it creates unnecessary risk for Georgia imo.

Most of the players that will compete in those games are around 9 years old right now.

those losses don't hurt as much. Helps recruiting. Keeps UGA in the spotlight. Never at risk for the type of criticism Clemson has this season. Fans love it. The playoff committee specifically cited the ND win two seasons ago as a reason for UGA's ranking. And the sport is more entertaining when the games are worth watching. And if/when the playoffs expand to 8 the OOC schedule will matter even more

2024 Washington
2025 Texas & Washington
2026 Texas & Boston College

Not bad, but UGA has more scheduled (except 2021). And they just finished a home-home with Notre Dame this season.
UGA has GaTech every year plus:
2020 UVA
2022 Oregon
2023 Oklahoma
2024 Clemson
2025 UCLA
2026 UCLA
2027 FSU
2028 Texas, FSU
2029 Texas, Clemson
2030 tOSU, Clemson
2031 tOSU, Oklahoma
2032 Clemson
2033 Clemson

That is at least two P5 games every year, except 2021, and three P5 games four of those years.

Big 10, Big 12, Pac 12, and ACC all covered

Oregon booking serious non conference games nowadays, used to be D2 schools...be interesting to see if the Auburn loss keeps them out of the playoff

Counting Ga Tech as a P5 is stretching it. ;)
lol this year, for sure

they had some really good years running that triple-option though. double win seasons. changing to a new offense isn't looking good this season but see how it develops the next few seasons

I don't understand your question...

tOSU currently has 12 P5 OOC games scheduled in the future, covering a 10 year period
UGA has 30 such games scheduled covering a 14 year period
I wasnt joking
Ao many acronyms in every sport
I see tOSU part 5 is out of contract
