Seems to have been a pattern established well before Trump took office. If anything, it looks like the gains actually slowed down the last few years.

You'll never have a 0% unemployment rate. At some point it gets about as low as a working class allows it to be, and it's not because of a lack of jobs. It's due to a lack of people willing to work.
During the recession unemployment was out of control. Eventually shit got better and - you are correct - was already trending down when Trump took office. But to say that it has "slowed down" and hint that this should be scored as a negative against Trump is a bit silly.
I'm not saying the outstanding unemployment rate is because of Trump's policies - but the "Trump sucks! Our country is going to shit" Chicken Littles need to settle the fuck down.

Another broken promise
If you look at the chart you posted the years previous to Trump, it appears the unemployment rate was dropping out about a steady 2% per year. The years under Trump it appears from what you posted it is dropping at slightly less than that.
How can you credit Trump for a trend that was already happening over the last 10 years?
