I liked the Reidernator too, I thought he put in a good showing against Tom Kong. The whole family watched that one.
I used to go to Cage Rage a lot, saw a lot of Tom. Short lived but I was pleased as punch when the UFC picked him up. I never saw Alex though. I lived in Aldershot for years so I was a bit of a fan.
The first UFC event I saw was Hughes vs Gracie and I thought it was a horrible squash match so gave up on MMA before I'd even got started, but Cage Rage showed me it wasn't all mismatches, and most of their fights consisted of more than just 15 seconds of striking before they clinched or went to the ground to stall until the round ended.
Saw some absolute fucking bangers in Cage Rage, what an org.
My husband was trying to get me to watch MMA for years but I wasn't in the slightest bit interested till a colleague who used to train convinced me in 2007 and I was absolutely hooked. It helped that Spike were repeating the Tito Bisping TUF every night. 4 months after seeing it on TV and I'd booked tickets and my flights for Chuck Wandy haha.
Cage Rage was fun. Dodgy as all hell but fun.
I watched that season too, was the same year as the Hughes/Gracie event, loved Tito and I've supported him ever since.
Chuck vs Wandy was 2007 jesus christ now I feel really old, thought that fight happened a lot later for some reason.
Same as with Tito. What I loved about him was he did the exact same training as his team. If he was telling them to run up 20 flights of stairs, he was the first to run up them. I went to the Machida Tito fight and he nearly had him! I would have loved to see him win in person rather than TV. His cardio and work ethic is brilliant.
Yeah the dude goes up to Big Bear and makes sure he's isolated and that those who are training with him aren't distracted either, hell of a guy. He cops a lot of flack but he's a model professional as a fighter, never came in fat.
One of my favourite moments in MMA was when he dropped Bader, I was out of my seat for that one

Tito was my first favourite, Chuck was my second and probably my most prominent but I wanted that win for him too. GSP I would say is probably my all over favourite. It was the BJ Stevenson fight up in Newcastle where I first met Bisping. Like I said he was really nice but the second time in London not so much at all. I like the cut of his jib though, he's pretty quick witted.

What was nearly a bloodbath was me falling over before the Gonzaga fight. For once I wasn't drunk and it wasn't my fault. They had swinging doors and everyone was spilling beer all over the floor and I slipped. I had to get a steward to go and get my husband because I'd fucked my arm up so badly I couldn't get up. They were in such a state they had me sign (with my left hand) all sorts of documentation so that I wouldn't sue.
I just wanted it all over so I could go in and see the Gonzaga fight! They put me in a sling and let me go back in.
I could have got a few grand for that probably, but the entire point of me driving from Farnborough to Newcastle was because I liked Gonzaga, I wasn't missing that fight.

I really disliked BJ. He was fighting on the card with Tito Machida and won which I wasn't happy about. If fact everyone on that card I put money on lost. I was a Rich Clementi nut and he won but he was so far down the card I couldn't put any money on him in the sports book.

Pride was before my time too but I liked Rampage when he came to the UFC so never liked Wandy given their history. When Rampage got revenge in their UFC bout I was so fucking happy, was on a high for the rest of the night.
