So I’m reading that no one under the age of 10 has died from it and only people 50 or over have really much risk at all from dying? Is that correct? I’m sure people between 11 and 49 have died just that that’s when you’re odds start going downhill so to speak..

Hope all is well Poui Poui!!

US Covid 19 deaths: 7
US flu deaths: 4000+

It's gonna be scary until they come up with a vaccine - although they have a flu vaccine and the majority of Americans thumb their noses at it.

That's why I find this so...interesting.
I don't believe the majority of Americans thumb their noses at flu vaccines. If they do, they're certainly not doing anything about it, since legislation across states are passing mandatory vaccinations to attend public schools.

But you missed the point.
The flu was the cause of death, it was overturned when the test result came back, which will be happening at a good rate because you can't have CV if you don't test for it.

Regardless, you're right in that flu deaths surpass COVID-19 right now, but COVID-19 is like 5 minutes old, and currently has a worldwide mortality rate 30x higher than the flu. Once people are tested accurately, that may drop to ONLY 10x higher.
Anything 10x deadlier than the flu, on top of the flu, and every other thing, is significant.
And for those that don't think this is bat soup-related, it's even more significant considering the timing and world events along with cultural clashes, players involved, and scientists falling off the end of the world...

U.S. death toll increases to 9.
"We are at least a year away" from a vaccine, expert says. Officials say state labs should be equipped for a million tests by end of week. COVID-19 does not compare to SARS, MERS or influenza, WHO says. Westchester Co., New York, man in "serious condition" after testing positive.

3:20 p.m. North Carolina identifies 1st case of coronavirus
A resident of North Carolina has tested positive for COVID-19, Gov. Roy Cooper announced Tuesday afternoon. He or she was exposed at a long-term care facility in Washington state where there is currently an outbreak, Cooper said.

The person is doing well and is being isolated at home, Cooper said. Local health officials are identifying close contacts to monitor symptoms and contain spread.

"I know that people are worried about this virus, and I want to assure North Carolinians our state is prepared," Cooper said. "Our task force and state agencies are working closely with local health departments, health care providers and others to quickly identify and respond to cases that might occur."

2:35 p.m. Florida confirms presumptive case as positive
A presumptive positive case of coronavirus in the state of Florida has been confirmed, said Gov. Ron DeSantis.

The woman is a California resident who tested presumptive positive after traveling to Italy with her sister, who was confirmed by the CDC as one of two positive cases in Hillsborough County on Monday.

Since she is a California resident, the CDC will technically list her case under that state, but she is currently under self-isolation in Florida, DeSantis said.

Coronavirus: dog of Hong Kong Covid-19 patient tests ‘weak positive’ for virus
  • More tests will be conducted to see if the dog had really been infected with the virus or a result of environmental contamination of its mouth and nose
  • The World Health Organisation says there is no evidence that companion animals or pets can be infected with the coronavirus

Yes I get that. I guess my question was more about children. Is it true that no kid under 10 has perished? The article I read said that most of the time they don’t even show systems but obviously they can pass it which is obviously very dangerous.

I'd imagine super young kids are susceptible - like 6 months and under. But yeah, kids are fucking tanks. Once they realize their nose is a treasure trove of delicious boogers, their immune system is impenetrable.

Inread in a newspaper that this was a myth.
