you have to wear it, would not be able to enter my apartment complex, ride the bus, go in a store, without one.
But, i wear it down, i dont cover my nose until i get to a temperature check or around a lot of people. i get too hot when wearing it, then get worried I will fail a temperature check.

I have a PPE cabinet that's sort of an honor system. If you need something, take it. Some jackass stole the 2 boxes of masks I had in there.

i'm assuming to sanitize, that's what we use
so much damn chemicals in the water here, all of our dishes get caked with white shit after using hot water. I use vinegar to wipe all that shit down.
i also use it to clean my humidifier and baby bottles
I saw on the news that stores were selling out of Clorix wipes. I've bought a bunch of water and canned stuff as a precaution but I haven't seen mass panic first hand here just yet, and our area is the worst hit in the US so far I think.

Agreed. Corruption, tax scandals, failure with the bird flu virus, it goes on. The CDC and FDA are nothing but a government mouthpiece that do not have your best interest in mind.
When it comes down to doing their actual job, those institutions fail miserably. As about as effective as a flu shot lol.

We use it extensively as well for these exact reasons. While I have a pretty good filter, well water is hard af and leaves spots on everything. We also place the rinds of a few oranges in a jar full of vinegar and let it sit for a few weeks to make it citrus scented to make it a bit less aggressive (I hate the smell of vinegar).
what would one do to profit from this rate drop?

we actually like the smell of vinegar now~ at first, made us cringy but now when we smell it, we can smell all the germs dying.
faucet water here is super hard too. we use the delivery water for cooking and drinking, even my dog drinks the purified water
I didn't put two and two together with my saucepans that it was bad water. I bought a new set when I moved here and can only see it on black pans/woks, I just assumed it was because I use a lot of salt/salty products.
