Apparently Tucker Carlson's script writer was aloud to think critically, 2 months late...

global supply and global economy could prove to be a disaster

make/produce shit as close to home as possible and relying on another country is a horrible gameplan

Selling out for more $$$ for the rich/elite is the biggest crime against the country IMO

edit : haha typed that right before tucker got to the meat of his rant

Ya
Still not sure what to make of it all, and not sure what I do and don't believe.

but this is a lesson in Logic...plain and simple...clear as day

When a calamity accomplishes 2 dozen nefarious tasks, it's kinda hard to decipher who pulled the trigger for what reason.
Hindsight I'm sure will be astonishing.

This is pretty bad news. A lot of people coming from a lot of places and traveling back to them.

With zero testing/screening it should not suprise

Broke loose in Oct/Nov most likely IMO
Was reported on in Dec.
Do the math on world travel from that starting point

That is a small example of what has been going on for probably 4+ months now

I think the "infected are far more than thought"

upside is that the "death rate" is probably lower than what is being reported

That is my gut instinct...I could be totally off on that, but my instincts are pretty solid history shows.

This video along with the others from China where people are sprawled out in the road, it doesn't strike anyone as odd? Like what is it about coronavirus that makes people feel like this is an acceptable thing to do. By all accounts it's a severe flu. Does the flu make you want to collapse in the middle of the road? It makes me want to lay on the couch and do nothing until it passes. Unless it's bad enough I need urgent care, then I get my wife to drive me.

There was one, I believe in this thread where a Chinese guy is laying there and someone is filming and the guy laying down says he can't get up. But his voice isn't all mucousy as one would expect from a chest congestion virus.

It reminds me of this fat fuck

I feel ya.

Not trusting those videos myself.

Having a hard time putting feeling good enough to walk around normally, with collapsing like that.

I could be wrong but I gotta see that before I believe it.

I thought that when I seen some of the videos from Iran. Why are these people out walking around in public if they are on the verge of collapsing? Or does this suddenly onset?

Thread explaining public health models and also how we are SUPPOSED to be tracking this stuff but its not clear if we really are. It all comes back to the lack of testing and cohesive federal direction. Local municipalities are not pulling the same way and neither are people.
Are we in containment mode? Have we moved away from that? Regardless, you need to pull the same way to maximize resources.
Sheepdog @Barely Legal COVID-19 asked earlier about if I thought we were doing A and B...both of those things. This guy, a public health expert, feels we are...and its bad to do.

Thread by @Farzad_MD: 1/ I'm very worried that we don't have a clear strategy for #COVID19 response We need to clearly define when the public health goal is conta…

Vice President Pence in Florida: Healthy Americans can and should continue to travel
Saturday, Vice President Mike Pence and Governor Ron DeSantis, joined by other state and government officials, held a press conference in Fort Lauderdale to announce extra precautions being taken this travel season.

Vice President Mike Pence announced, despite the coronavirus outbreak, it is safe for healthy Americans to travel.

Pence and DeSantis joined a number of other government leaders, meeting with the Cruise Lines International Association to discuss ways the cruise industry will be assisting in preventing the spread of the virus as passengers continue to board cruise ships in Florida.

“The cruise line industry has a strong public health record,” said Vice President Pence.

And despite recent news of cruise ships being quarantined due to the coronavirus outbreak Vice President Pence stated the healthy American people can and should continue with travel plans, but advised avoiding nonessential travel to Italy, Iran, South Korea and China.

“The American people can continue to go about their business,” said Pence.

However, Vice President Pence did urge the elderly and those with underlying health conditions to avoid cruise ships and other crowds.

“Whether it be destinations or whether it be cruise ships, those most at risk are seniors with serious or chronic underlying health conditions,” said Pence.

It would be nice if they would give us a heat map to show known outbreak areas. I don't think anyone should be around crowds in NYC or the PNW right now. That will grow, but traveling to these areas well and then home is how this spreads.

They are trying to mix all their inputs of economics and medicine and and and and and... but that doesn't paint a true health picture if that is the part people are asking about.
