That is idiotic. It's a catch22 right now. If they dont do it, we would be at a worse state than if they didnt. Economy would be destroyed. They are trying to save the economy, businesses, unemployment which means no one can pay for their homes or products, chip in to taxes through their paychecks, etc..amazing that that person has no common sense to realize that.they are investing in the economy not bullshit green ideas that kill jobs and would ruin the economy

Well you ideally get the best qualified people to run it. They are paid at the market rate with usual targets and bonuses.

we can’t keep spending hundreds of billions of pounds bailing out failing companies only to see them fail again.

The private sector will still exist. But they never get a single penny of tax payers money again.

how do we get the best people to run it? Because our electoral system isn't getting the best people to run our countries.
how do we replace self-interest with altruism at the highest levels?
