Not like American football at all. Probably most similar to rugby in that regard but long stretches of the game can look almost like soccer with no break in play for several minutes. Other times it can look like rugby scrums with the umpire constantly having to intervene to get the game flowing again. There's a thing called a 'mark' which comes from Gaelic football that makes it not directly comparable to the other sports. You still have free-flowing play, but when you kick it more than 15 meters and a teammate catches it cleanly, then the other team can't tackle you (as long as you don't move off your line).

Marks are the coolest part of the game. People talk about it being 'tough' but it's less tough than rugby or American football (can be more scary in certain situations though). Taking one of these is one of the best feelings you can have in sport and I played a lot of different sports when I was younger (a few marks in the video are are actually pretty shit, but most are worthy of the title).

She's a boss. Was doing all of that At the end of the day on Friday. Stayed late and had the mom come meet her at the clinic. I was super proud of her.

Some of the songs are from the 1900s, 10s and 20s. And some aren't bad little tunes - because obviously copyright infringement was less frowned upon back then, so they just ripped off the tune of a popular song and added new lyrics.

Almost all of the songs are actually American. I shit you not, one of the songs is literally the US Marines official hymn - and they only stole that one for a new team in the 1990s. Adds a nice little theiving convict touch to the national game.
