Found this so I'll share anyway

And a provincial sales tax.wait til they tack on a coronavirus tax to pay for the 20 million EI claims
But it is not airborne correct? It will halt particles that are infected to and from your face, for at least a set time. provided that you are using a proper mask.I’m sure @Splinty can give a better answer.
but basically. Say you wear a mask, you're walking down the street. You smell traffic fumes through said mask.
well sheeit. That virus is smaller than those smells.
what it can do if you are infected is to stop the virus from being a miasma from your face.
It only really works if you’re infected
Fuck it....Ah gotcha. N95s

not sick and taking drugs?Goes for any medicine. Leave it to the doctors, or risk Darwinism to kick in.
For respiratory droplet transmission...I recall @Splinty commenting on the use of facemasks yes.

You need to look a bit closer at that map. Looks like @VOTE TRUMP 2020 has the entirety of Florida, most of the Atlantic coast, and even the Guff coast with your precious Texas included. Ya’ll are damn near land-locked.Texas the only state that forced the new hunger game territory to abide its previous state line.
Until a mask becomes a fomite, by becoming waterlogged from breath or constantly exposed, it is likely that any barrier lowers your transmission some amount. But it's probably not that much in your average walking around. But it is not airborne correct? So a surgical mask probably reduces transmission. An n95 does so more. etc etc.
How does this happen when you have viruses so small? You catch the respiratory droplets and the viruses are sitting there in the droplets on your mask.
This is transient protection at different periods of time for different mask.
A surgical mask likely becomes damn near worthless after a very short period, but I can't find any confident data on when that line is, if you get a contaminated person's respiratory droplets on it and then continue wearing.
The traditional respiratory precautions in hospital settings laid out by infectious disease doctors has people changing out a cheap surgical mask almost immediately after beginning using it. There's just too many variables and questions about their efficacy for more than a very temporary period of time.
So I admit that there are studies suggesting that surgical mass will reduce droplet transmission. But these studies are evaluating a fresh mask. I can't find studies evaluating a mask that somebody has worn on a one or two hour commute, especially if it's warm or humid and the mask is getting water logged by breath and humidity
Isn't it better to touch your mask than your bare face? The mask doesn't make that more problematic, correct? If you do so and you can guarantee that you will not touch that mask or your face
Of course I would agree that this is better than any mask.I just avoid folks
But for a visit to the store? (essential store)A surgical mask likely becomes damn near worthless after a very short period
I don't know man. So if you can smell my fart you are breathing in my culture?but even without glasses if you can smell your environment then you are not covered.
Of course I would agree that this is better than any mask.
I wear full PPE and an n95 (that I have to rotate in a set in the sun to decontaminate because everybody decided that they needed a mask all of a sudden) on a regular basis to evaluate potential covid patients at work right now.But for a visit to the store? (essential store)
how many positives so farI wear full PPE and an n95 (that I have to rotate in a set in the sun to decontaminate because everybody decided that they needed a mask all of a sudden) on a regular basis to evaluate potential covid patients at work right now.
I do not wear a mask to the grocery store or gas station, The only places that I currently go outside of work and home.
