i think the numbers here are a little high, as only the very sick people actually got tested and are confirmed.

I'm aware. The papers there and they talk about the lack of testing. Just trying to keep my opinion out of it and show an actual range currently in the US.

I'm a little conflicted. As a general rule it's the demographic who should be most concered who are just sashaying all over the place like their invincible. If that's the attitude they're going to have fuck em.

consider the message they're getting from nation's leadership incompetent bureaucrats...this is a generation that's used to getting their info from Official Channels like the nightly news.

I'd have to look up the hospitalized rate for flu infections and those under the age of 60 but I would imagine it's dramatically lower than this novel Corona virus.

And again this isn't just apples to apples. This is a pretty low risk disease to me. It's a huge threat to public health and has such a system overrun which is a big big deal.
it's hard to calculate exactly how many people die in the US of flu but let's just call it 30,000 linked. It's probably using the same models as this virus or some people die from a heart attack because the virus stresses them.
2 million dead with her solution.
66 flu seasons in 3 months.

And if you take it to the extreme and state that we do nothing because it's just the same as the flu, then it's twice that many flu seasons in 3 months.
