the scary thing is that this actually possible with 1200 dollars and someone will end up buying one based on how many people there is in the u.s and the popularity of tiger king.
If you watch the Louis Theroux doc linked earlier in this thread, it will pretty much prove you right. While I'm all for exotic animal ownership (within reason) sooo many folks who shouldn't have these animals actually do and it's not good for anyone.
The worst of the worst are the primate keepers. Chimps really do not belong in a cage without a team of professionals there to enrich the environment and provide activities all day, every day.
If you want something unique, get a sugar glider or something along those lines but leave the monkey's, big cats, bears, camels etc to the zoos and pros.
