Unless they go under.

Nobody makes money when oil is under $40/bbl.

Not Russia. Not the Saudis. And certainly not the petroleum companies.

Gas dropped to like $1 a gallon at the pumps. That is money NOT going to these publicly traded companies.

Word is Russia agreed to scale back so there might be a light at the end of the tunnel. If eveything quickly returns to normal - there is definitely a lot of money to be made because some of these guys got SMOKED.

Hope you make a fortune.
what about peak oil though

anybody remember that?

Well, they aren't worried about that.

Saudi and Russia have produced so much while we are using so little that there is literally nowhere to store it all.

Maybe they'll put it back in the ground.

Lesson learned, when a cheap stock jumps 25% in the morning, take a little off the top.

I like to pull out my initial investment amount and let the "free shares" ride. I usually do that at around a 50% run up.

Futures down 241 right now. Analysts predicting the market will hit new lows over the coming weeks. Going to be interesting to see what happens.

I'll be DCA'ing on the way down, but what I'm holding is likely going to get slaughtered at the open. I wish I would have sold off Thursday.
Why not, now you get to buy it back cheaper.

Sooo low.

I've been thinking about the stages of recovery, who will recover most quickly and those who will lag.
The idea being some segments of hospitality may pop back fairly quick, take those earnings and invest
in those who will take longer.

According to the WTO that may be some of the major shipping companies.
I'm also thinking products for those hardest hit, kids right out of college, people in service positions, etc.. will take some time to recover and start buying again....so entry level cars, computers, etc..

Thoughts?

I think we have a big drop coming.

It would make no fucking sense whatsoever to shut this country down for 18 more months. Fuck, I don't think it makes any sense to keep it shut down past May 31st. We can't do that. People need to get back to their lives. Businesses need to reopen. These politicians are playing a very dangerous game.

Shockingly my holdings were only down $56 today. Made a nice turnaround from the morning.
